When you tune your TV to MySpace Channel, it will bog your TV to a crawl, blare obnoxious music at an obscene volume, and flash and sparkle more than a Pokemon cartoon.

Drop the "Myspace." Just "TV". It's cleaner.

What I really want: MySTK3 TV
Combine streaming TV (or synced DVDs/BDs) with some kind of Teamspeak/Skype/Google Hangout service. Different do-it-yourself commentary tracks that other's can listen in.
That's the kind of "social" feature I'd like to see. If your "snark-team" is good enough, you might even get some bit of the revenue. Once the service is popular enough, you could have "global" streams (i.e. not on-demand) where you could basically zap through different riffers / riff teams.
Going together to movies or hanging out to watch videos is already a pretty big part of social interactions, something like that where you could do this on a global scale (or passive, if you don't feel that social right now) would be just awesome.
/Please tell me that this exists already or is planned.
//If not: VCs, contact me. I'd be willing to drop Skyrim for you.

My guess is that he and his future wifey will make their own
nternet "reality" show (like the Butler family on YouTube), on a lesser scale.
If they market it with some sort of social networking site,
all of their internet fans and pervs will join. It'll work, sort of, and they'll make a bundle.

There is a reason that there is only one
The Onion
, Fox News's
Half Hour News Hour
failed and there can only be on true Colbert in every generation. The number of talented, smart and funny people is limited that can pull off comedy, let alone a particular brand.
Plus, MST3K and RiffTrax is scripted, not completely off the cuff. Mostly it'll be stuttering idiots.

I think in this case the field is broad enough. People have been making fun of movies since, well, movies. Never mind that I think that there were quite a few smartasses making fun of Sophocles... Apart from the Onion, there's also the Landover Baptist, apart from Colbert, there's also, well, The Daily Show?
It's just a specific form of Observational Comedy.
Or maybe not even comedy at all. The name I've given is a bit misleading, the core concept is "make your own DVD commentary track". Some of those are very scripted, some of them are fueled by alcohol alone.

So it'll be like any other social media? I'd be okay with that. We probably would get a few people trying scripting, and some just rambling on.
