Isn't dubstep what you call it when your CD is so scratched up it just skips around over and over ?

At least the article is current (October?)

And, what the hell is a bieber?

Lovely. Bieber dry-humps dubstep for money. Anyone else wanna hop on the dubstep derp train? Perhaps Rihanna? How about Gaga? Friggin' artistic windsocks.

/seriously, either get the hell off my lawn or get a tochis full of rock salt.

i happened to listen to fm radio in the car the other day (first mistake) and heard "Here's a new song from Korn and Shrillex" and of course, I immediately wanted to vomit.

and oh yeah, dumb DJ, it's Skrillex.

2012-01-10 03:30:43 PM
Hmmm.

Now I realize that maybe "The Freddie", "The Mashed Potato", or even the "Electric Slide" weren't all that wierd or stupid

DanZero: Hank Hill knows

Thus marking the first time dubstep was even slightly entertaining.

2012-01-10 03:31:21 PM
Yeah, it's grown on me. A lot of it reminds me of old school Nintendo video game music on steroids.

UGH dubstep music sounds so depressing, it's like the world just got blasted by a handful of atomic bombs and millions of people died. Dubstep is suicide music, even if you're a normally happy person.

2012-01-10 03:34:20 PM
Oh yeah, I think dubstep is also "Music for the non-musicians".

2012-01-10 03:34:46 PM
Good, maybe it will finally kill the popularity of such stupid music.

Fark is becoming the place to come and get all your pop pablum in one stop. Sure it's ridiculed but still, even the ads are becoming increasingly pop oriented. No wonder musical people like Brant Bjork wont get greenlit here but any article about some talentless hack will.

Congrats on your breakthrough into the world of Perez Hilton, Popeater and the countless other same, lame sites.

And the fact that these articles are user submitted and being greenlit with increasing frequency only shows where it's all headed.

Done with Fark. I'll read the yahoo main page when I need to catch up on the same farking bullshiat, non-news stories out there.

Way to become what your whole book was about Fark. Can we get more articles about gas prices in summer soon?

/dr

Dubstep is the result of people learning how to make the noises analog synths accidentally made when they were corded wrong. Except this time, they are using high end digital software.

Get an iPad and a copy of iMS-20 (Korg) and you too can be a dubstep master for under a thousand dollars.

I'd like dubstep more if it didn't have such a stupid name. New Wave. Now THAT's a cool name for a musical style. I didn't much care for New Wave music itself, but you can't argue with its unconcerned panache and offhand confidence. Hell, I just strung together two sets of unrelated adjectives, and New Wave STILL sounds like a cool style of music.

/Also would like to complain about Doo Wop, Ska, World (like who are YOU to claim to have music that applies to the whole planet, arsehole?) and to a lesser degree Rag Time (due to the ubiquitous menstrual jokes), Jazz, Reggae, Trance (WFT?) and New Age (for copying off the awesome New Wave).
//Rockabilly is also stupid, but kind of cute. Like your cousin who always pets cats' fur backwards and only eats dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets.

Dubstep = techno
That's all that most farkers need to know.

Dub step dancing can be cool, but only if it's used in addition to some good break dancing.

What if the Bieb eventually turns into an amazing musician who transforms the pop music industry and revitalizes rock and roll? And he leads a whole new generation of rock gods the likes of which we haven't seen since the '70s?

WHAT IF? WHAT IF?

Sorry... sorry... I get that way sometimes.

Oh, that stuff. We used to call them 'mods' in the early 80's and download them from bulletin boards.

Had graphics and stuff. Floating logos and tunnels. Mostly made by Swedes. The trick was the make the smallest one that was the best rated.

Sounded better too. Was this one a good one that you posted here? It doesn't sound that exciting.

just remember that Brittany Spears did a successful D&B remix of Toxic, and everyone and their dog had a speed garage version of their song made the 15 mins that it was cool...

Besides, it's already over - dogstep is where it's at now.

Sigh. It's unfortunate that people today don't know what dub is. How did it become this scratchy retarded heavy metal sound?

Listen to real dub. King Tubby, Sir Coxsone, Scientist. Real Jamaican dub artists. Once again white people take something original made by black people and ruin it with their crap. At least the earlier dubstep had some elements of DUB still in it.
