I can't resist either - he loves the Tea Party and posts all sorts of conspiracy theories from them. Why do people keep buying into the One World Government conspiracy theories? They have been going for 50 years now strong and nothing has remotely materialized, yet they buy it hook line and sinker.

You know, our system of protecting individual speech should be inviolate. This guy is an idiot, and his group are idiots, but he has a right to say and print what he thinks, and regardless of my lack of respect for him as a person, I do respect his rights.
However, when his group creates web pages that are

Because people are stupid and afraid. From what I can see, the average nutjob who is scared of the One World stuff is also the ones who are terrified of non-white majorities in America. It's just an extension of their racism, since most of the world isn't white.
Oh, and with that RON PAUL isn't a racist thing, maybe not so much. The talking point is that he didn't write the newsletters for 20 years, never saw them, and was never told anything about them, so they don't represent what he thinks, right? Well, someone found this:
him taking credit for those newsletters.
So maybe he really is a racist.

While normally I imagine this situation would be awful, but in this case, how funny would it be if a black dude got a KKK notice that "
included a drawing of a figure in a white hood and sheet and
a message telling residents that the KKK would protect them

Send out the four largest black police officers on your force, all with rifles, and have them get his personal information. Just for informational purposes, not to intimidate him or anything.
(I'm sure you can get a local to call up and say this guy was creeping around their property. So the cops have to ask him some questions *winkwink*)

Even 50 years ago things were very different between the political parties. If you look over a bunch of JFK's speeches, he can sound like a moderate Republican of today; he would have been a very conservative Democrat in today's party. Nixon even created price controls; hardly a small government move. Modern political party platforms seem to have crystallized in the late 60s for the Democrats and sometime in the 70s/80s for the Republicans.
As for the Klan, what EXACTLY do they think a bunch of inbred retards in sheets is going to be able to protect us from? Protect us from having floors unstained by tobacco juice?

SnakeLee: "Why do people keep buying into the One World Government conspiracy theories?"
Because a lot of people seem to inherently refuse any answer in the form of a complex system.
To them, it's a *relief* to be told there's some organizing force behind all the shiat you don't like.
It also lines up really well with the persecution complex pandemic in the US.

We will be a truly equal society when an American born citizen who just so happens to be a member of al Qaeda can pass out flyers and have his freedom of speech defended. I guess it's easier to defend when you don't look like the target of their hatred. They are a terrorist group. They support the murder of American citizens and want to undermine the principles of this nation.

My father had a cross burned on his lawn and he is white. He was the head of the local tolerance committee though (think like Rotary or Lions but for equal rights). We lived deep in the heart of a suburb filled with UAW workers and a very strong solidarity mentality. One of my cherished childhood memories is my mother trying to pull me away from the window instead of letting me watch daddy and his friends from work beat some klansmen down.
/a bunch of people showed up the hospital with stories about getting drunk and tripping while bearing wounds that looked a lot like a Union steward hit them with a pipe wrench
//one of my racist neighbors even came out to help beat the klansmen, his reasoning was "I don't like the darkies, but you don't fark with a man's lawn."
