A list of Wall Street morons put together by Yahoo!...Why, this won't be partisan at all!

This list is good because a) includes Jim Cramer; b) Excludes Erin Burnett. I definitely do *not* ignore her.

You picked the number 12 out of your ass because it's 2012, then you only had eleven. LAME.

Ha! I knew Bill Gross was going to be on there. I read a doom and gloom article he wrote last year about how "we're all gonna die in 2011 so invest the way I do!" It sounded like a pump and dump. Looks like he didn't get his pump.

This reminds me of ol' T. Boone Pickens in 2007 predicting that oil is going to $200 so buy now! I bet he made out on that deal too.

It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future.

Eh, I ignore what she says. Who can forget her 2007 Dubai miniseries in which she yammered about how now is the time to get in on the Dubai market! It's nice she got some great free dinners and jewelry from the Emir, but if you invested in an exchange which was over 50% real estate/construction stocks in 2007 then you probably got burned.

I like how Cramer is the whipping boy. Back then John Stewart was beating him up for not seeing the Stearns collapse (wait, someone didn't see the financial crisis coming? no really?), Planet Money ran the numbers and found the Cramer was one of most accurate shills on TV.

I don't blame the Daily Show: their job is to make a comedy show out of whatever material they've got. I blame everyone who watches the Daily Show and thinks it's fair and balanced.

Schiff has turned into somewhat of a Jeremiah, but he should get credit for predicting the real estate bubble collapse in 2006-07, correctly pointing out that the subprime ARMs sold to inexperienced borrowers in the early years of the decade would go into default when the rates adjusted. There's a famous video of him getting laughed at for these predictions by various "smart people," like Laffer and others.

Cramer got me thinking about nat gas MLPs, particularly KMP and ETP in late 08.. Great call, I've nearly doubled my money..

I don't, maybe dumb luck, I know he's made some big mistakes, like the Bear stearns call..

//worried about my MLPs, natural gas is getting too cheap for them to have any kind of margin..

To be fair though, if you're idea of getting a hot tip on a stock is because the man in the talking box told you to, you deserve to lose your money.

The general argument for some of the list's picks amounts to 'because they haven't been 100% right or timely in their predictions must mean they're completely wrong'. If we handled our ignore lists using TFA's standards, Fark would be a barren wasteland.

Why not use this list of proven losers as a benchmark against a list of proven winners. That would make for a more useful and informative piece of journalism, instead of this steaming, maggot-stuffed piece of crap.

As far as I know the Daily Show has never claimed to be fair and balanced, and Jon Stewart has never claimed to be practicing journalism.

Because NOBODY successfully predicts the future consistently. Guess right this year and next year everyone will call you a genius. Guess wrong next year and the media will anoint a new guru to take your place.

But if the hype man tells you he's a hype man who should be ignored...you can't get mad that people listen to him?

For example...Penn and Teller make it clear everything they do it a trick...there is no magic, they can't read minds, they can't really catch bullets in their teeth, etc...it's all just tricks. (the even show how some tricks are done for comedic relief)...if you then choose to believe in magic and psychics and supernatural powers...it's your own fault....you can't really blame Penn and Teller.

That's my whole point. Cramer's message is that you shouldn't listen to his picks...you need to do your own homework/research and come to your own decision (all he provides is insight into how he thinks/makes decisions)
