I knew she was going to have some stupid-ass name picked out for that kid. Gotta follow the trends.

For once, I'd like to hear about an unnatural birth. Or a pregnancy where the baby decides to just stay up there until college graduation.

2012-01-10 12:53:28 PM
It's "Tenctonese"

2012-01-10 12:55:51 PM
And isn't "Blue Ivy" an anime series? or a top secret air force project? I can never remember

Any verification as to whether or not her taking over the NICU was preventing other parents from seeing their kids?

gunga galunga: Any verification as to whether or not her taking over the NICU was preventing other parents from seeing their kids?

The hospital is denying that she took over a wing at all, so I'm going to go with "yes."

Aside from the vehement denials from hospital administration? I don't think so.

Every time I see a headline with these two now, all it screams is

"DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO MY BABY! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!"

Whatever, Jay-Z totally carried that pod around in his manpouch.

Loved the movie. The series went in a different direction, for obvious reasons, but was also excellent.

She wasn't pregnant. Unless she was the only pregnant woman in history to never gain any weight in her face during a full term pregnancy, she was not carrying a baby. That and the collapsing baby bump photo provides evidence that she used a surrogate.

Why name the kid with a porno star name?

2012-01-10 01:38:59 PM
Sure, a natural surrogate birth.

The My Little Pony Killer: For once, I'd like to hear about an unnatural birth. Or a pregnancy where the baby decides to just stay up there until college graduation.

Generally speaking, natural birth means out the vagina, breech birth means out a surgical incision through the abdomen (the caesarean section). That's the distinction, the c-section would be the "unnatural" version if you really want to say it that way.

//Side note: Nothing wrong with naming your kid Blue, it's only mildly silly at worst. "But no, the kid's first name is technically 'Blue Ivy' the full phrase" you protest. "Yeah, but no one is every going to call it that, ever," I counter, "people that know are gonna just call him Blue because it makes more sense, people that don't are going to assume 'Ivy' is a middle name".

I'm not particularly of the opinion that she wasn't pregnant. I wouldn't, however, think it was beneath her to have encouraged the rumors once they got started.

/strikes me as a big ol' honkin' AW.

s2s2s2: Surrogate had a C-Section. Beyonce', naturally, waited in the room. (new window)

Werd on the streets is, she snuck in the hospital first, wearing a bad wig. Once it was secure, the surrogate was brought in like a civilian. It must be nice to have the free cash, if the story is true.

2012-01-10 02:11:17 PM
I'm way behind, can someone catch me up to speed on this "surrogate" rumor? Is it like the Glen Beck 1990 rumor, or does it have actual traction?

Wait, forget about it, after I realized what I was caring about, I just stopped caring.

As natural as faking a pregnancy so your surrogate can have it for you can be, I guess.

Gotta keep that body in shape so you can hold onto the husband and keep your showbiz money flowing, amirite? Can't go all Brittany baby body.

The name is a cartoon dog's name, ffs. Blue's clues, Blue's clues! This is as stupid and as weirdly coincidental as J. Lo's naming her kids Max & Emme (Dragon Tales). Or have I watched too much Sprout and Nick, Jr? Anyone, anyone?

No, breech refers to the position of the baby as relating to the birth canal (feet or butt first). You can vaginally birth a breech baby. She may have said "natural" birth to dispel the rumor that she has a c-section.

An unusual name,to be sure, but not nearly as bad as,say,Bronx Mowgli,Moxie Crimefighter or Ikhydd . And definitely an improvement over Beyonce or Solange.

Correct. It was initially reported by the AP and everyone else that she had a c-section. She needs to quash those rumors immediately since she doesn't have a c-section scar.

This story is so full of holes.
I like the theory that they're closet scientologists.
I like it, even though I don't buy it, because
it dovetails the best of all the conspiracy
theories about Bouncy and Camel.

I'm glad the baby is healthy,
but no matter how bloated she's been
the past couple (and she's been
bloated), I believe a surrogate was
involved. They should have told the
truth instead of lying with the Katie Holmes
pregnancy fat suit shiat.

/I totally believe Katie used the pregnancy fat
suit to make the timeline appear
like Tommy Girl really was the
father of Suri, instead of Josh Hartnett

I'm rolling. But Jay Z was never faithful. It's for her fans globally; she has to keep up appearances for them.

I came to correct Jim_Callahan but I see that you already have. I would like to add that technically, "natural" refers to a birth with no pain medication. What she meant to say was "vaginal" although she could have also meant that she had no pain medication.

I don't understand the need for a fake pregnancy - it just means they now have to worry about people thinking they are a couple of freaky weirdos when they find out the truth - including the kid itself someday.

So she had a miscarriage and had to hire a surrogate - why cover it up?

I tend to agree, however....I'm almost 5 months, and I'm just now starting to show. I was in semi-decent shape before I got pregnant, and I've tried to keep exercising. Then again, I've still had the horrible nausea too. :-/

But. I've still got til June, so I'll report back then.

/if she used a surrogate, why hide it?
