And ESPN misses a chance to have Lou Holtz and Lee Corso on the set together.

who got it?

As an LSU homer I have to admit that that was the worst offensive showing ever by an LSU team. It was like the old Jordan Jefferson, too slow, unable to make reads, unable to utilize timing routs, easily panicked. Bama's defense is good, but not that good. Jefferson just was really that bad.

2012-01-10 12:15:54 AM
Jesus. 92 yards of total offense for LSU. Barely over 2 yards per play.

ya know that's how they called the guy in the game and in the post game conference, hardly his actual name. Probably a good thing in the post game

Nope. AL's QB ...

was he the holder or the long snapper?

kicker should have got more credit..they did show him hoisting the trophy though

I discovered when I moved to the South that they go psycho about SEC football. Tennessee hates Florida, but brags about Florida...etc. Blah blah SEC...sigh.

Thankfully, as a DENVER BRONCO fan, I am welcomed because they love their TEBOW!!! With that in mind, I have no doubt we can move past this National Championship nonsense and get back to our substantive TEBOW threads!

I guess OSU really did deserve a shot. They couldn't have possibly laid a bigger turd than LSU did tonight. That was just pathetic.

Roule Tide!

Now, if I were an LSU fan, I would be pretty darned annoyed at having to play Alabama again, until someone patiently explained to me that Bama was ranked No. 2 at the end of the year, and when it's that way, that's what you do. You defend.

If they were to play again in four more weeks, LSU would probably win. Ad infinitum, back and forth.

2012-01-10 12:21:52 AM
That was the SEC Championship Game. Now let's see them play Oklahoma State.

It would've been OSU against LSU. So LSU could've still laid a turd.

Well ...

Maybe next time they shouldn't lose to a (eventually) 6-7 team.

//also, that was the last game they won

Just think, OKST only had to beat a 4 touchdown underdog and they could've been in the NC game to destroy LSU

Meh, those two teams didn't want anything to do with oSu. As bad as that LSU offense was, even that mediocre cowboy defense would have held em below 14. After watching that anemic Alabama offense, I have a feeling OSU would have hung 40 on LSU.

Yeah, we totally needed to watch that play out for a second time.

It was too boring to keep watching.

Remember when that super high powered Oregon offense destroyed LSU earlier this season.

my bad.

Bama didn't just shut down LSU, they just shut down the BCS

remember when Bama didn't deserve to be in the game? Now LSU - the only undefeated team - didn't deserve to be there... Hah

Turn the lights out, tradition is dead, time to move on

Apples oranges, but I know you like that in your kool aide.

In overtime on the road on the same day their fellow coaching staff all died in a plane crash? Yeah, those things are TOTALLY equivalent.

basemetal: Apples oranges, but I know you like that in your kool aide.

How is it apples to oranges? You're talking about a team with a great offense and how they would've hung 40 on someone...well, we have a perfect example of a "great" offense.

Oregon and OKST had the #3 and #4 offenses. Would OKST really do THAT much better than Oregon against LSU?

I can't wait for the thread in 3 years when all these wins are vacated for violations and everybody will act shocked like it's never happened before.

Please please please make this pitiful excuse for a title game lead to the death of the BCS system and the birth of a playoff.....

I'm wondering when the other conferences are going to step up....

2012-01-10 12:48:25 AM
Wait, LSU has a guy with four arms? That's got to be some sort of violation.
