After a whirlwind mp3 downloading I somehow ended up with hours of At The Drive In. I kinda liked 'em. Would be neat to see.

That line-up isn't exactly obscure. I'm almost 40 and I'm familiar with at least 20 of the acts listed in TFA. Maybe that makes me a hipster, but I think mostly it is because I didn't stop listening to new music in 1992.

I only listen to people who wanted to start a band; at the first rehearsal they broke up to avoid being sellouts....

PULP!! These are there first shows in the US since the late 90s and their only announced dates in 2012. I would not be at all surprised if these are the last shows they ever play anywhere, considering they temporarily reunited for a European festival tour last year after a ten year hiatus.

Pretty strong lineup. Godspeed, You Black Emperor is an interesting festival choice.

If you haven't heard him, check out The Weeknd (new window). He is kind of alternative R&B or something. I suspect most Farkers will hate it, but I have been digging him lately.

coachella seems to be a very broad festival...lots of reunited or comeback bands, and lots of somewhat obscure - to - not-quite-so-mainstream bands. and snoop, dre, radiohead. if i lived within 200 miles of there i would consider attending. but i live in ft worth, tx. so that is way too far. oh well, plenty of music choices in this area :)

That being said, the Sunday line-up is the only one that piqued my interest, would be down to see Justice, DJ Shadow, Girltalk, and Nero.
