This is terrific. You've got a happy kid blowing stuff up, and at the end of the video the said he's now cancer free! How cool is that? Is there anything high explosives can't do?

Can it be Congress? Please please? And can Congress be in session when it happens?

NO!

I take it his wishes of killing an endangered species, like a bald eagle or a giant panda, poisoning a reservoir or throwing flesh-eating fish into a public swimming pool were not granted?

Your jib, Sir. I like the cut of it.

Good luck, kid. You've got a helluva career as a Farker ahead of you.

"I watch MythBusters and they inspired me to blow a building up," said Maxwell Hinton of Fresno, Calif.

Did they air that episode on TV, where they shot a cannon ball and it ended up destroying somebody's home?

Sure hope the terrorists don't have access to Mythbusters.

Great article and sentiment, but I caught a sad knowing that seven year old knew what "neuroblastoma" was.

What a rip, i thought make a wish was for dying kids. Its a contract, a crazy wish for a dead kid, hes not holding up his end of the bargain.

Umm, I have cancer. I mean I'm pretty sure I have cancer. Most people have cancerous cells in them at any given time, they just die off before they can cause any trouble. So can I blow up a building too?

2012-01-09 10:46:38 PM
That's my kinda kid.

Let's hope his love of Mythbusters doesn't wind up with him wearing a walrus mustache and beret.

Well, I guess it was just a matter of time before they started granting wishes for Muslim kids now.

Time to rev up the indefinite detention military machine to round up all the donors.

As the size of an explosion increases, the number of scenarios it cannot solve approaches zero.

One problem; they likely just violated federal and state laws.

(mining engineer, licensed blaster)

A co-worker/driller that I worked with had something "similar" happen years back. His father/uncles owned a large blasting company in New Jersey and they let him set off a shot to take down a smoke stack. Picture of him doing it made the paper.

Next day, the state called about a fine for it. ATF had a few questions as well, iirc.

Glad to see he's rid of cancer.

People are freaking out over Iran's possible upcoming nuclear weapons program but little do they realize that it's just part of the Make a Wish Foundation for Palestinians.

Also, though those of us at the Pro Cancer Foundation frown upon your petty human mortal shenanigans, we remain smug with the knowledge that cancer is still winning.

Soz, Congress sucks, not blows. They suck up taxpayer money moreso every year, regardless of whatever party is in there.

I know a guy who had gotten his wish through Make A Wish and lived, he nearly died of a brain tumor.

Fail. No, not this Wish coming true, because I think that Make-A-Wish is an awesome organization. What is a Fail is that they did not show footage of the little guy pushing the button!

Wouldn't it be ok if they set it up so in actuality two people had to agree? Give him the hellbox but the wires go through a switch that's held by somebody licensed and he doesn't close his switch until it's ok to shoot.

General rule of thumb: surface shots have to be set off by someone with a license, underground shots can be set off by someone designated. No children should have access to explosives or control over them (both state and federal).
