At first I thought this was going to about him being one of those douchebag actors who hates being typecast as the character that made him famous but it's about him being nervous on dates. Dude, even though you're pale and English, you could show up up at the door with your ballsack out and the girl's father would give you his daughter's hand in marriage. So relax.

..and you may or may not have farked a horse on stage but I still doubt that would be a deal breaker.

This it such a false headline. He's totally into putting on the robe and hat, he's just nervous.

/ thought it would be about how he hated the costume.

You got it wrong

Nearly every person who worked on HP loved it and was sad to see it end (some for the money, other's for the actual experiences). On the other hand, the Twitards couldn't wait to end filming on that crapfest.

True, but HP actors aren't kidding themselves about the $$ they made. Radcliffe is a funny interview. Good head on him. Props for busting his ass on Broadway for street cred.

He seems normal and grounded.

All I can come up with after that statement is silence.....but good for him.

I didn't care much about him one way or the other until his appearance on Extras. That made me like the guy.

Or maybe he's just hung like a yak. You don't know. Don't be so judgmental!

Seriously though, it's probably the money thing.

Not really. The Twilight actors have been pretty vocal about how much they think Twilight is a pile of crap.

"At the end of the second date I pulled a move out of the Bela Lugosi Book of Woo - I went to kiss Rosie and at the last minute lost my nerve and ended up kissing her neck, which is such a weirdly intimate place to kiss somebody on a second date.

I've been there, man.

Sigh.

I was surprised he gave up alcohol. I didn't know it was a problem for him. He said he was a "boring and pathetic" drinker. Well, I am glad he didn't go all Lohan on us.

Potter Partier (new window)

\Surprised this hasn't turned into a Emma thread yet. It has been a while since we had one. Most FARK Potter threads end up that way.

The later ones (well 4-6) suffer from the fact they were insanely long books and should have been 2 movies each. 7, of course, was 2 movies. I haven't seen the second half though.

Robert Pattinson actually seems like a pretty cool dude, based on what I've read from him. He definitely gets how insane the material he's working with is.

However, oodles of money and being America's biggest teen heartthrob are pretty good reasons to stick with a bad movie franchise. If I were in his shoes, I'd have no problems being in terrible movies if I got boatloads of money and women.

Radcliffe, likewise, seems like a level-headed kid...I just hope he doesn't go nuts in the long run. Really, I'm surprised we haven't had any major HP child actor burnouts yet, short of that Crabbe (Goyle?) kid.

I think the most difficult part would be doing the whole talk show circuit thing before the movie comes out. You have to sit there with a straight face and tell people how great your new movie is and how proud you are of the work you did on it. I'm surprised none of the actors have broken down and started laughing hysterically in one of the interviews.

Since he's been naked on stage (Equus) I'd think we'd all know if that were the case.

He seems like a funny, level-headed and smart guy. He was hilarious on QI. Money aside even with not being tall I don't think he'd have trouble finding girlfriends. Most women will only put up with so much douchiness and boringness for the sake of money.

2012-01-09 11:28:54 PM
Why would he need to date anyway? He's got thousands of hours of video in his SpankBank of Emma wiggling her butt all over the set.

I've been with guys who are tiny flaccid but are packing the heat when erect, so I'll give benefit off the doubt

Only if he's a grower because he's definitely NOT a shower. If I were his age & knew him I'd still give him a chance. What can I say I like guys who are kind of dorky. If you have seen any of his interviews he's definitely dorky. He also doesn't take himself seriously. Which is attractive in a guy.

FTFA: DANIEL Radcliffe admits that he still gets nervous around girls!

Probably because he more into boys.

/I have zero evidence to back that up, just a gut feeling
//If he really is straight, good on him for finding a girl he likes, but he should know it shouldn't be that difficult - just point to a Potter fangirl he finds cute, say, "Want to play with my wand?" and be done with it
