Doesn't the article say their application came in too late (read beyond some deadline). If that is the case, who cares?

2012-01-09 03:42:43 PM
For those of you at home 'awkward' is a white people word that can be applied for every situation.

Meh. The Mayor and the local NAACP chair have been sniping at each other for years. More chickenshiat to follow...

This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with Danatus King.

2012-01-09 03:49:09 PM
it's about time this racist organization was excluded from MLK day events. I mean, they're not even hiding it! they use a racial slur right in the name of their organization! time to lynch both them AND the UNCF

2012-01-09 03:52:50 PM
Well, it would be wierd having a racist group there

Michael: Okay, Kevin. You can take that off that thing, OK? That would really, really have shown him up, wouldn't it? If I'd brought in some burritos or some colored greens. Or some pad Thai. I love pad Thai.

Stanley: It's collard greens.

Michael: What?

Stanley: It's collard greens.

Michael: That doesn't really make sense. Because you don't call them collared people, that's offensive.

They didn't file their application on time to be part of the ceremony and plands were made without out them, and now they are being butt hurt because the rules are not be broken for them.

I personally enjoyed hearing moon griffon say "whar 'ah skools at? Obama 'n 'em cant folla da rooles!" (replacing yomama'n'em with obama'n'em in a conversation about the plight of the louisiana public school system... brilliant! who just don't hear that kind of eloquence above I-10)

Okay, you got one out of two correct. Guess which one...

/give you a hint - it's the difference between response after the event and the preparedness prior to it
//Blaming FEMA and President Bush for the response after they were permitted in, 100% correct. Your statement != to that.

"... the largest and oldest civil rights organization -- an organization that worked hand in hand with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King..."

If they're as great and wonderful as they say that they are then why the fark do they need the government to celebrate? You want to party? Then farkin' GO party. You don't need the government to hold your hand or wipe your ass. It's attitudes like this, that the government MUST somehow be involved, that cause big, out of control governments. Just like they have in N.O. now. They brought it on themselves and now have to sleep in the bed that they made.
