So unlike the false flag NYC case where they arrested the guy without any evidence and tried to give it to the DOJ (perhaps in hopes of distracting people from the OWS thing), this looks like an actual case, complete with evidence from an undercover agent selling him fake goods to confirm his intent.
Though really, one might argue that if he was allowed to continue, it might have made Tampa livable.

Tampa? Are they declaring war on motorhomes and the elderly now?

Simple misunderstanding. They actually overheard a teahadist opine that the GOP was going to bomb in Tampa this year.

Yeah, but the article doesn't indicate that he wanted to attack that.

Federal officials say a confidential source told them that Osmakac wanted Al Qaeda flags. The federal complaint alleges Osmakac gave the agent a $500 down payment for an AK-47, multiple homemade explosive grenades and the explosive belt so he could attack various locations in Tampa
If you're in Florida and you actually need help buying an AK-47, you might be a total loser.

This new breed of terrorist is pretty damn stupid, if their target choices are any indication. A couple of years ago, the Christmas Day "underwear bomber" tried to blow up a flight to
Detroit
of all places, and now this guy was planning to blow up a bomb in
Tampa
, which some might consider
urban renewal
. What next, a plan to release chemical weapons in Trenton, NJ or Bakersfield, CA? (And if they pulled it off, would anybody even be able to
tell
?)

Yeah, terrorism these days is certainly relegated to the buffoon class. The only effective one that I can think of lately is the dude who went postal in the army base. Of course it's debatable as to whether that could be considered "terrorism" in the traditional sense...

The Kenyan Usyruper is keeping an American citizen from his God-given 2nd Amendment right to own an all-American AK-47.

As a general rule, I tend not to trust these "TERRORIST PLOT FOILED" stories when they involve undercover agents enabling some moronic schlub to live out his oddly ineffective terrorist fantasies and then arrest him.

ya, ya, you find some feeb and stroke his ego and then sell him "explosives" and then arrest him. meanwhile in the alternative universe where this guy went unnoticed he is still masturbating to livestock catalogs in his mom's basement.

Instead of arresting the guy, just follow him and take him out when he makes a move. At least then you don't have to worry about court costs

So is it now the official line now, every single guy caught trying to blow up and kill people was just a simple peon with very limited mental capacities set-up by the feds to justify their jobs?

So long as the Feds continue to arrest the simple, sorry bastards...yes. When they bring us a terrorist cell with connections to foreign organizations, or actual domestic terrorists, the song might change.

Well, unlike
some
countries we know, we don't have the authority to level entire city blocks with missiles shot from helicopters because some suspected terrorist might be living there.

I'll without statement until I know more about the case. There is always the possibility of entrapment after all. Also suspect that this comes out so soon after NDAA.
