If he was going to be like his father he should start scoring more than a basket or two a game.

Jeff Jordan, the oldest son of Michael Jordan, is leaving the Central Florida basketball team for what he says are "personal reasons."
a.k.a. I'll never be a quarter as good as my father, and I don't feel like spending an entire career hearing THAT several times a day. Can't say I blame him. It's like being Jakob Dylan, but worse.

. For the record, I also fail at being as good a basketball player as Michael farking Jordan. I can live with that.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Jakob Dylan is good, and his father is a legend. Jeff Jordan sucks, and his father is the undisputed greatest basketball player of all time.

His last year playing, with his little brother as a starter and the teams scoring leader and him as a part time player. And a few games ago a couple of underclassmen started getting more playing time and he was watching almost the entire game from the bench.
So he up and quit to avoid the embarassment of it.

He isn't the undisputed greatest ever, sorry, the NBA existed before 1985, and there were some damned good players roll through before then.

11 championships out of 13 seasons, 3 of them while as a player-coach. What, do some of them not count because Bill Russell didn't have to face juggernauts like the Vancouver Grizzlies or the Toronto Raptors?

Please. Jordan is so widely regarded as the literal #1 in the sport, and winning 11 championships is easy when there's no 3 pointers and so few greats in the league. Bill Russell can keep his 11 Special Olympics medals, Jordan earned his championships through the toughest overall competition the game has ever seen.

Let's be honest, Michael Jordan really did change the game of basketball. He was one of the greatest players of his era. But to call him the undisputed greatest player of all time is retarded. Even though I kind of agree, I can argue that for five other players, just because I feel like it. Undisputed my ass.

Head-to-head says a lot, though.
And you have to consider the player-coach aspect, 11 titles, the value of defense vs offense, etc. It's questionable.
And win shares just look silly when you have David Robinson at No. 2 all-time. He might not have been the No. 2 center in his state during his career.

I don't like advanced stats much myself, but it's a good quick overall look at a player's effectiveness.
Jordan has the rings, mvps, and stats. If not for his foray in the baseball, he probably wins 8-straight rings and he would have had even more MVPs if they didn't start getting bored with giving him the award.

There are very few players who are good enough to be the undisputed "best" at their game. MJ is not quite there. I can think of arguements for about five other players.

Jeff Jordan was not going to get much playing time after AJ Rompza returned from NCAA mandated suspension. UCF is so deep on the bench now that Jeff probably would have been the 12th or 13th man
This is a good UCF team, which already has a win over UConn. And, won that game without Rompza, who is the best PG in CUSA.
Marcus Jordan, Jeff's younger bro, is just a more talented player, who has a chance at an NBA career if he can develop into a PG (which he played as when Rompza was out).
I wonder if Jeff went to UCF to play with his younger bro...and for being insurance if Rompza was permanently booted off the team for NCAA violations. Interesting is that Marcus and Rompza played H

I'm also pretty sure Rodman has been to a Turkish prison and seen grown men naked before.
