a friend of mine and i got my roommate's cat drunk as HELL one time(first girl roommate. she was chill. convinced me that a female roommate was a'ight-which led to the second roommate who was... kinky.).

this was not as easy as it would be with a dog. cat's don't have a natural inclination towards booze it would seem.

so we took the high road of soaking kitty treats in rum.

that cat LOVED said treats.


fwiw, cats are, generally speaking, very pissy, mean drunks. roommate came home to tom and i sitting on top of the couch as her cat sway/staggered back and forth, yowling and going apeshiat on anything he bumped into. he heard her voice, ambled over and proceeded to try to turn her sneakers into confetti, then barfed heroically and passed out.

she was not that amused. WE thought it was hilarious.

little SOB drank a pretty sizeable chunk of that fifth of morgan's too. and ate the entire big bag of kitty treats AND a bowl of rum-flavored catfood.

I'm glad they modified the beer so it won't harm dogs, but why the need to create special food? Most dogs will eat anything their owners do.

Probably for the same reason dog biscuits come in different colors even though dogs are color-blind... Dogs don't buy this stuff, people do.
