With no reason for as many large fancy parties, dj's and rappers don't need as many. Also, laser record players are killing demand for replacements. It is also hurting the giant speaker business as well.

HMV?
Oo, good luck guys.
CSB:
My wife and I went to Ireland for a week and a half early last year, and the rental car we had did not have a USB port to plug in an iPod, so we had to find somewhere to buy CDs. I came back to the States with about 10 really good CDs because of recommendations from the staff at the HMV stores.
Case in point: Elbow. Did not know about Elbow before going to Ireland. Great stuff. Look 'em up.

There was also some sort of police report that came out today from Britain that stated that house burglars used to grab CDs and DVDs and sell them at bars, etc. This year the trend stopped - as the (paraphrased) quote went "These blokes are not the brightest in any event. So it is very obvious that the CD and DVD markets are gone".
