As a charger fan I really don't know what to feel.

Our ownership is pulling a major league on us and one of our biggest rivals is trolling the league.

I guess it comes down to a west coast v east coast thing.

And I only have this to say:

f**k the east coast

I hate the steelers, I hate the patriots and boy am I hoping for a saints/Denver superbowl

I mean, Madonna created such an uproar with her anti church songs in the 80s so it will only be appropriate if she plays halftime for a Denver game, oh man BRiNG ON THE LULZ

THe way I see it is that a lot of those tragdies are because of dickish people. Free will and all.

BTW the answer to the question about quarterbacks who came into the NFL in '04, Eli Manning. Has thrown for more yards and more TDs than any of the others.

AdmirableSnackbar: Pratty: Gimmick: Tebow still sucks. His offense was getting owned until Hampton, Keisel, and Woodley all left the game due to injury. By the time the second quarter came around, Pittsburgh had three former probowl defensive linemen (Hampton, Keisel, Smith), their best pass rusher (Woodley), and their leading tackler (Clark) all watching from the sidelines. There isn't a defense in the NFL that can lose four probowlers in addition to their leading tackler and maintain a high level of play.

Alternately, the fact they didn't throw it downfield until the second was also part of it.

A Pittsburgh guy in the last Fark thread put it best, the Steelers had injuries but the best teams get over them + Denver had it's own share of injuries(#1 wideout going out, for example).

I thought John Fox coached extremely well. They ran the ball on first down so many times that when they did pass the ball (every 7 or 8 times) on first down it worked very well, especially on dagrons. It was a great game, I tip my hat (it's not a Fedora) to the Broncos.

Definately was true on the OT pass, or it seemed like it to me.

I actually wouldn't be that surprised if Tim Tebow, possibly not taking it so seriously, joined her in a duet of "Like a Prayer", even with burning crosses in the background. Lulz for him, lulz for us, everyone (except crazed and disillusioned Iowan Evangelical Tebowites) wins!!

And lost all their safeties?

Or maybe they had a scouting report that said Tebow can't throw more than 10 yards downfield, so no need to defend the deep pass.

SilentStrider: Jake Leg: A QB willing to run has balls, and I tip my hat to that.

the problem with being willing to run is that you take more hits. If you have a guy with a build like Big Ben's or Aaron Rodgers, then they can take it a little better, but even then they're still going to get more injuries than a pure pocket passer like Eli Manning.

Yet Vick was hurt worse this year, the first year he stayed in the pocket, than ever before. Huh.

On the one hand, they threw Pissburgers out of the playoffs, which makes me happy in the pants.

What do I do, Farkers!?

Eh, Denver's big rabid historic rivals are the Raiders and the :::koff::: Chefs (yes I spelled that right). Really, the Browns don't register very high on the hatred scale here, so don't worry, be happy!

Vick also has a lighter build than Ben, plus he's a couple years older.
And then there's the fact that, in his career, Vick has started a full 16 games what, once I think?

Tom Brady, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Patriots flag in the window.

"This house is yours for eternity Tom, said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."

Tom felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a huge 3-story mansion with Orange and Blue sidewalks and drive ways, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Broncos logo flag waving, a swimming pool in shape of a horse, a Broncos logo in every window, and a Tim Tebow jersey on the front door.

Tom looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 3 Super Bowls, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."

God said "So what's your point Tom?" "Well, why does Tim Tebow get a better house than me?"

God chuckled, and said "Tom, that's not Tim's house, it's mine."

I didn't start watching until the fourth quarter, but as soon as I saw Denver getting consistent pressure on Rothelisberger with a three-man rush, I knew that the Steelers were in trouble.

When five O-linemen and a running back can't stop a three-man rush, you're toast.

Tomlin wouldn't let his son play tonight, but God did.

Also, did anyone else think it was impossible to gain weight during the course of an NFL season?
Ben might hit 3 bills by camp next year, assuming he hasn't already.

SilentStrider: lighter build

Vick is listed at 6 feet and 215 lbs, Roethlisberger is listed as 6'5" 245 lbs. So while he is shorter and lighter, Vick would have the heavier build.
