goddammit steelers. Oh well. Nice game tebow - you still just look weird but you earned it today. Well done.

I know, right? Or maybe a Terrorist attack. That'd have worked too.

CavalierEternal:

Fellow Browns fan here. On the chain of hatred, we're required to take the Broncos over the Steelers. After that, we're free to root against the Broncos unless they're playing the Ravens. Hope this cleared things up for you.

So the next game I have to cheer for the PATRIOTS?

I mean it is Bill Belichoke- Er, Belichek. That's really not much better!

The AFC playoffs this year have almost been crafted as a big ol F U to Cleveland. Why? What did you do?

Can't say anything bad about the city of Pittsburgh; but fully agree with you when it comes to Philly. Buncha arrogant, brain-dead assholes there.

I like Tebow, so far he reminds me of Rex Grossman. Never know what kind of qb is playing that week until he takes the field. Might be good, might suck, you just don't know.

I find his interviews fairly annoying, even compared to regular football player interviews, so that is certainly saying something.
but I've switched to the broncos games when the second half starts in the last 7 weeks of the season or whatever. can't be alone there.
the style is still fairly interesting in the pros (probably wouldn't be if all 32 teams did it), and the close games are great.
it's also interesting hearing how it is impossible to win with tebow the last couple weeks, that defenses have figured it out.
now dilfer says it is all but impossible to stop since the safety has to play up.
it's a good football story for sure.

I did not see that coming. Steelers should have won it in the 4th.
If the Broncos (and mostly Tebow) have a good game against the Patriots they could beat them.

Lord of Allusions: So, has Tebow's game evolved or was it designed this way by some intelligent being (John Fox)?

I don't think Tebow has evolved much. He's probably slightly better than most people think he is, to the point that if your secondary is really sucktastic, he'll be able to exploit it. OTH, if it's at least competent and reasonably well-coached, he's hosed. There are a lot of guys like this in the NFL. Most of them are not starters.

As always, NFL overtime rules are bullshiat. Both offenses should get one chance with the football.

College football does it right. And no, I don't give a shiat about Pittsburgh.

This was the first time I was able to watch Tebow for a whole game and the fact is he's really a mediocre quarterback. He's more like another running back than a quarterback. Denver has designed their entire offensive game plan around his running ability, and they've done a good job at that. Harrison in particular spent most of the game repeatedly picking his jock up off the ground. However, he missed at least three or four wide open guys and throws up floaters that would even embarrass Eli Manning. Can that get them past the Pats next week? I doubt it, but why not? It's not like a team with an underrated defense and a qb that likes to throw the ball up for grabs hasn't beat them before.

I think he's shown he should get some time to improve his game, at least. If he can raise his completion % he is going to be very frightening, as can be seen by the multiple burns against the Steelers, at least a few of which were because of playing the run so much due to the option.

Jake Leg: Seth'n'Spectrum: Can someone explain the joke? I take it Tebow is an uber-religious quarterback who plays for the Broncos, what am I missing here?

For some reason, Tebow's faith has been politicized by drudge and other conservative news outlets. Like they own him or something. Newsflash - half the guys in the NFL take a knee after a great play. I am not a huge Tebow fan, but it is nice to see two QBs in the same game who are willing to run and take a hit.

hell, Troy Polamalu did the sign of the cross after one play tonight, and the guy recites bible verses while running plays from his own account

IBreakdance2NIN: darch: I'm sorry- as impressive as that win was, the truth is that if the media wasn't making such a big deal of tebow's religious leanings, he'd just be another decent quarterback who's played a few good gaTebow's QB rating was 125.mes.

Not so much "decent" as "gimmicky as hell".

he seems to throw a nice deep ball, can run a bit, and doesn't throw that many picks. the jets did more with less it seems like...
