No, I'm pretty sure it's a woman. I just thought it would be funny to think of that person as a dude.

Dead for Tax Reasons: [lifefeed.net image 300x225]

That diagram comes up often and it annoys me every time. It's so poorly designed that it can be interpreted in two ways:

1) If it's a Venn diagram then the lack of overlapping indicates that the only time you are truly happy is when you are not wearing pants.
2) If it's two pie charts then it seems to indicate that you are only truly happy when you are wearing pants.

Two equally valid interpretations that have opposite meanings.

It's a perfect example of why all diagrams/charts need titles.

DMWJorge: 2) If it's two pie charts then it seems to indicate that you are only truly happy when you are wearing pants.

If you're going to be pedantic, then the pie chart interpretation implies that you wear pants 100% of the time and you are happy 100% of the time. Which would be weird because your pants will be full of poop.

Heh, yeah. When I first saw the image, I assumed they were pie charts because, without any overlapping of the circles, there really isn't anything indicating that it's actually a Venn diagram. I stared at it trying to figure out what it actually meant (or was trying to mean) and my conclusion was what I wrote in my last post.

My complaint is more about the ambiguity of the image than the specific interpretations.

In short: Titles matter!

This is a working example of deduplication. As long as someone in the car is wearing pants, or there is an emergency pants deployment station, we are covered. Why does everyone need a pair?

I'm not comfortable wearing anything that doesn't at least hit close to the top of my knee in public.

Going swimming next week. Still debating whether I should poke everyone's eyes out or try to short circuit the lighting.

I truly hate all things contrived. ITS not funny, nor spontaneous or avantguard. ITS just following others. I don't think people under 33 know how to think for themselves anymore. I"m glad my 11 year old daughter is an oddity. SHE wants to stay in her PJ's all weekend and relax. ... BTW, she still rides her bike, electric scooter, texts...She at this point is a free thinker...SOmetimes I find myself saying, how come you donj't join the soccer team,....then I'm like..why am I pushing her to be like the rest. the rest don't invent the lightbulb, or write the dec of ind, or the bill of rights. The rest go to work in a cubicle. So I guess what I'm saying, these people on the train, are simply "like the rest" not original....more followers.

Yeah, your free-thinking kid is so unusual, she sits around in her pajamas all weekend, texting her friends and otherwise expanding her creative mind, just like the Founding Fathers.

If that was posted to fark, that person would have been torn asunder... Congrats, you're training a kid who has no ambition in life. I wish her well as a stripper after she fails out of art school, rather than challenging herself with "math" and "science" like the other kids her age.
