The home went into foreclosure after Lewis failed to pay State, County and School taxes

It's not like he's 12 anymore.

But but but a house is an investement and you own something! Renting is a waste!
/Yet everyone rents a farm when they buy groceries

Is 1400 square foot house on a 6000 square foot lot in a highly desirable neighborhood in a major city that I didn't remotely overpay for considered a "spacious port-o-potty"?

Did you know that Gary Coleman suffered from FSGS as a kid and it was the treatment that kept him short?

That's what I mean.

With a million dollars you can either buy a house and a fancy car and be pennyless the next day...

...or you could rent them and keep 95% of the money to make investments ;)

There are desirable neighborhoods in Minneapolis?

One of the bonuses of buying a house is not having to listen to your neighbors. You've been robbed of this.

Jebdiahbob: He's still alive?

That's what I thought... he was listed in Bloodhound Gang's Fire Water Burn along with a bunch of dead people, so I figured he kicked the bucket long ago.

The house was probably worth a lot less than he paid for it so he just walked away and stopped paying the mortgage and property taxes. If you all haven't noticed, there has been a lot of that happening since about 2007. Doesn't necessarily mean that a person is broke or has money problems, it is just a financial move. A dickish financial move, but still a financial move.

Driving through Fayetteville I happened to look to my right and saw Emmanuel Lewis. No problem there except he was driving a Suburban. It did not compute for a half a second.

Maybe he and Ben Verene should do a cute coordinated tap dance and kidnap the bankers trying to foreclose on him.

I hope it works out for him. Big fan of his dictionary.

If a company does it, it's "Strategic default". But if a homeowner does it, they're a prick.

Got it.
