Feminism has become nothing more than a method to try to make women the superior gender over men and blame men for everything. Just because things were wrong for centuries doesn't mean continuing the same with roles flipped is good.
There are actual problems that need to be addressed. We still need actual equality as we're not there yet.

Men are the most persecuted group of people in the US today. Women think they should get paid the same as men for doing inferior jobs and men have even had to sink so low as to become nurses and maids to make ends meet. Women had it good before this whole women's rights business came about. They didn't have to worry about paychecks or bills and didn't even have to keep up with current events to know who to vote for. The modern feminist movement has put women's rights back centuries.

Sexual assault is a very big issue and trying to get statistics on it is damn hard. There are a LOT of women who do not report it. Women who do not report it have higher chances of domestic abuse and sexual abuse in the future.
That is where it needs to begin. I aint no smart man, so I really have no idea how we could do it.

But I don't see feminism doing that. Your link? That's how I see feminism.
The fact that you see that link as representative of all feminism indicates a lack of desire to actually engage with the subject or actually start reading feminist literature and seeing that there is not such thing as a monolithic "feminist" movement. Feminism in its current form is broken up into multiple different schools of thought. One of them was represented by that link; that was representative of one the less sex-positive schools of thought.
But to paint the entire movement by your impressions of that is like accepting that it's okay for Republicans to paint the entire Democratic Party by what Alan Grayson or Bill Maher says, or say that Louis Farrakhan represents all black Muslims, or Michelle Bachmann represents all Republicans. It's taking the easy way out to just accept on the surface that you don't like something, or to pretend that feminism is just "a method to try to make women the superior gender." When you actually take the time to engage with the material you realize that most feminism is far from that. A lot of it is simply consciousness-raising about the fundamental and entrenched ways that male privilege oppresses women
and men
, and if you had actually read the comments on the article that was linked, you'll see that the author of the post specifically rejects the idea that all men are "rape-apologists" deliberately, and states that it's her belief that violence against women is not a part of who men are, but imposed on them by societal pressures from a very early age.
tl;dr version, read the stuff before you criticize it as man-hating.

A "man-hating" kind of thought that thinks that women are the superior gender? Well, no, I don't think it's unique. I also don't think it's what is represented in that link, or that it represents mainstream feminism at all. The more modern third-wave feminism specifically attacked that perception, and much of the modern movement doesn't embrace the idea of gender superiority either.

No. But the VAST majority of my peers- well educated women in our thirties- are what we call the Title IX generation. We never seriously considered that there was anything we *couldn't* do because we were women.
We went to college, law school, med school, engineering school, business school or we didn't.
We are mid career and rising swiftly, or we aren't.
We are married and have children, or we don't.
We made all of these choices based on many factors, but "I'm just a girl" wasn't one of them.
That's what feminism is- it evened the playing field.

That's like saying that the logical implication of abolitionists was that black people were better than white people, because they blamed white people for enslaving them and forcing them to work on cotton plantations.
Calling oppression by its proper name doesn't mean that the oppressed are somehow saying that they are "better," especially when the people standing up against oppression are
specifically saying that it's cultural and not individual in nature

Again, what you think you are describing is not the "new" version, but is one of the strands of radical feminism, which peaked in the late 1970s and has been on the decline in popularity ever since. You are attacking a straw man; "bra-burning" feminism never particularly existed (there was only one documented instance of actual bra-burning and that was done as a stunt) and the current feminist movement is decidedly not "man-hating." I suggest just taking a look at Wikipedia's article on the different variants of feminism and starting there, if you want to actually educate yourself on the topic.

Same generation/gender, and I totally agree. I have a daughter (4) and it has been easy so far to just let her be herself. She is naturally becoming a well-rounded person. It is her grandparents I have to worry about - one side is appalled at how much of a tomboy she is and the other side is desperate to make sure she doesn't become a princess. I'm pretty much OK with her being whoever she becomes. Right now she wears skirts all the time, loves watching Star Trek with me, helps her Papa build things, plays Mommy to her stuffed animals, LOVES glitter, and is learning to play chess (with alternating commentary on whether or not the two sides should be friends who are sparring or mortal enemies out for vengeance).
I will say, however, that I would like her to get equal pay for doing the same job as her male counterparts.

Well, I linked Wikipedia because it's actually one of the better sources for quick overviews on topics, so I actually do think it's the best place to start. So, that part isn't meant to be insulting; you'll be surprised how many people don't even think to read Wiki to find out even the broad basics of a movement before criticizing it.
As to the rest of my tone, yes, I'm sorry, but I get a bit worked up when people perpetuate the straw-man that "feminism today isn't about equality, it's about man-hating" as if that was some sort of original observation and not something that the Right Wing has been attacking the movement for since the
1960s
. Even Betty Friedan got attacked for "man-hating" for suggesting that maybe women
didn't
like sitting in the kitchen all day and making their husbands dinner. So when someone like you, who I generally agree with on most points, starts regurgitating that tired old saw, I get a little annoyed and try to educate you.
