Anywho, in Wisconsin if you hit a deer and kill it, you can call the DNR out. They dress it and give you the meat right there on the road, so this law doesn't seem that messed up to me. To each his own, I guess.

I could see banning people from intentionally hitting animals as a way to get around hunting permits, but if the deed is done what's wrong with eating it? You can't sue the state if you give yourself food poisoning because you didn't know what you were doing.

And for any dedicated greens out there this would be an available animal protein source that doesn't rely on intensive industrialized animal production techniques.
