We were extremely concerned to learn of the receipt issue in New York. This act goes against our company values, and we've confirmed with the franchisee that this matter was addressed immediately and that the employee is being terminated. We are truly sorry for this customer's experience.

I just wish the police would take swift action like Papa John's when their employees screw up, instead of putting them on "administrative leave" with full pay & benefits until the case blows over.

I lurked for two years before I signed up!

That's a good point. How do we know this wasn't actually a compliment? You know, like how a chink in a wall allows you to see through to the other side, perhaps the order taker felt that her "chinky" eyes allowed a glimpse of her soul.

I mean, sure, it's a kind of an awkward way to say "lady soulful eyes", but maybe the order taker is a spic or something who doesn't speak English as a first language.

I think it's too early to accuse anyone of racism.

I agree, although she's in the upper west side which isn't known for the pizza. There's a good pizza place on the east side in Harlem... Patsy's but that's still far away.

But really... going into a fast food place, what does someone expect? You're dealing with kids that are making minimum wage... when I made those wages I wasn't putting much effort into my work either. I'll work to the extent that I'm being paid. Also, lady chinky eyes, while goofy is hardly offensive... it's simply ridiculous. Was the service otherwise bad? I eat in chinatown all the time and occasionally I receive horrible service because I'm white... if I were them I'd probably do it too.

Thank the liberals for that. This person had no union to help them keep the job at which they were clearly incompetent. Teachers and police are a lot luckier; they can mess up all sorts of stuff and their unions have their backs.

I don't stand around telling racist jokes when only white people are around, but I'm not exactly bothered by them unless they are mean spirited or about children.

Some people are incredible stupid and insensitive. While I wouldn't hold it against a fellow white person who said "chinky" in a joking manner, this idiot gave the customer a piece of paper that said it.

It is truly sad that their only punishment is having to find a new crappy job.

Had a brief stint at PJ's-fired for calling the pizza flinging, bratty-ass manager a "F'ing biatch". Was even told not to talk to other workers while folding boxes and that windows can only be washed omni-directional(any variance thereof being worthy of a write-up).
So I know to use the register to place orders one has to sign in. The "I have no idea who that was" does not hold water.
The writer should work at one of these places. Recording the idiocy that goes on daily and then return a Pulitzer Prize winning piece of journalism.
