(Talking Points Memo) Amusing Hard to say really. I think these are either pictures of John McCain endorsing Mitt Romney or Mr. Potter plotting to murder George Bailey   (media.talkingpointsmemo.com) divider line 38

"Awesome! Remember the guy who brought on the window-licking idiot as his VP candidate and then lost by ten million votes to the black guy with the crazy name? He's on OUR side now!"

That is an amazing pic. Seriously, that should be front page on every newspaper in the country - everything you need to know about the current GOP contenders summed up in one surly expression.

I am sure McCain has no memory of how he was a "moderate" candidate way back when, was slammed by the extreme-right, had to join "team herpa derp" just to get the nomination and was left to flounder when things went bad.

Sorry to be a pain in the arse, Subby. But, this really needed to be a photoshop thread.

I don't remember Harry Potter plotting to murder anyone.

So his "revenge" on Obama is endorsing the guy who's this year's John Kerry?

It wouldn't surprise me if this endorsement is the final payment for the deals that led to McCain's nomination four years ago.

He may be out of debt but, really, what does McCain have to be happy about? He's not president. No one he really likes is running for President. The guy he's forced to endorse probably won't win and will have a hard time even being nominated. All the power he had in the Senate is gone due to both his failed presidential campaign and his party's general lack of success. Of course he's grumpy.
I like McCain*, but I'm really feeling sorry for what he has to go through these days.

*Though not enough to vote for him

I hope someday he goes totally rogue and denounces the GOP for the blight on America that they have become.

More like Walter Mondale.

Kerry had more of a chance.

I didn't mean to imply that the "revenge" in question involved Obama - I apologize for the confusion.

In this case, it would be more like Mr. Potter plotting to murder another Mr. Potter

It's good to know who the GOP's liberal Washington insider elites support.

Those are some ill-fitting jeans you've got going on there, Mr. Romney. Are they saggy like that to make room for the underwear?

A Cup of Tea

Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era (1868-1912), received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.

Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor's cup full, and then kept on pouring.

The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. "It is overfull. No more will go in!"

"Like this cup," Nan-in said, "you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

I think it's going to be somewhere between; Romney won't get the nearly 50% of the vote that Kerry got, but I can't imagine that he's going to get utterly destroyed like Mondale did.

Anyone ever notice how many Islamofascits live in S. Carolina???

upload.wikimedia.org

Clearly S.Carolinians or "Seecrit Jihadist Muslum Terrorists" ,as I put them, can't help themselves. They even put a mushroom cloud on their flag for farks sake. Or is it a star, either way that crescent moon was probably put there by Obama.

Was that a subtle reference to Mitt's polygamist family roots in Mexico? Brian Williams interview of the MexicanRomneys tomorrow night...
