9beers: Why is Huntsman getting so much air time?

Because he answers questions?

I'm Rick Perry and I point fingers.

So what sorts of commercials are they showing during the breaks? I'm streaming through a third-party site and it just goes silent.

Perry blathering about how his position that Congress should be part time and there should be a balanced budget amendment makes conservatives uncomfortable. How on earth does he think he has a shot at getting the nomination by making his supposed base uncomfortable with what he wants to do?

They had a commercial for the after-the-debate analysis show.

Asked about whether the home heating oil subsidy should be returned to prior funding levels or eliminated etc., Hunstman says the problem is the "one product distribution model" and it needs to be disrupted, hinting at alternative energy solutions.

I'm starting to wonder if he's getting so much attention just because the others think debating him is good practice for debating Obama.

2012-01-08 09:50:13 AM
Romney's going to give home heating oil support to FLA?

Andy to Romney: How long have you been sucking d1ck, governor?

Romney on Gay rights ... "Right now."

Okay, that's pretty damn good.

2012-01-08 09:52:41 AM
Romney says he doesn't discriminate against gays, and opposes same sex marriage. He really doesn't see the disconnect between the two positions. It's rather baffling.

Santorum is an artful dodger.

Considering the rest of his party wants to repeal hate crime and anti-discrimination laws on gays, he's practically Harvey Milk. But cognitive dissonance is a helluva drug.

herrDrFarkenstein: Santorum is an artful dodger.

Yeah. Saying that he essentially supports gays by "we listen to their arguments" and allow "them" to elect reps that support their arguments is still pretty offensive (like the only way you could say he didn't support them is if he was actively trying to remove their right to vote), but he's dialled it down a little.

perhaps being "more true conservatives" isn't what he's looking for?

Romney supports clean air! Massachusetts received a majority of air from the rest of the country!

LOL

Romney supports clean air. That's gonna cost him.

Oh wait, he thinks the solution to pollution is more drilling for natural gas.

Perry: if our founding fathers wanted America to be a socialist state they would have paid the Continental Army.

2012-01-08 10:08:18 AM
Perry, you're an idiot. You wouldn't know an actual socialist if one came up and smacked you upside your head.

Hehe Santorum says healthcare should be "bottom-up".

Socialism means "without a funding mechanism"? WTF?

Paul doesn't like the terms "gay rights", "women's rights" etc. He says it makes people in those groups think they're entitled to take something from someone else.

2012-01-08 10:11:29 AM
Paul: entitlements aren't rights

Merriam-Webster (entitlement [n]): a right to benefits specified especially by law or contract

Wow, Jon Huntsman just defined President Obama! Yes we can.

Oh snap, Huntsman says he's "heard a lot of obfuscating up here...everyone's got something nasty to say".

2012-01-08 10:12:34 AM
Santorum on health care: "bottom up" with shoulder shrug and wink.

dude is a sleeper agent. He's gonna break out the assless chaps at his inauguration party.

So why should I vote for him again?

Santorum says that Iran can't have nukes because they're a theocracy. Russia, Best Korea, and Pakistan are ok with nukes because they're not theocracies.

Sooner or later the irony is going to melt his brain.

Especially since you're probably safer criticizing an ayatollah on the streets of Tehran than mocking a Kim in PRBK.

No, he supports banning sex unless it's within marriage with the explicit intention of procreating.

He's probably right. Too bad he wouldn't support changes in the law to support how American families really function ... gays, extended households, etc.

The post show analysts are ripping on Romney pretty hard, and criticizing the other candidates for not attacking him more earlier in their campaigns.
