I love it - she makes fun of the kids in her class for liking Justin Beiber...and says how awesome David Bowie is.

She also loves 3 Dog Night...Joy to the World is one of her favorite songs. I used to sing it to her when she was a baby and I was trying to get her to sleep.

Just saw "The Prestige" (we were bored), and the sudden realization that the old chap playing Nikolai Tesla was, in fact, David Bowie was almost withering.

Not bad for someone who used to keep his piss in the fridge in case evil spirits stole it.

I miss you Bowie! Please give us something else. Please, please, please! The world of music just isn't the same without you.

I'm a very casual fan, but my wife is a creepy super-fan. I've seen him maybe 6 times in the last decade or so. Interestingly, his shows have been pretty minimalist. At this point, he doesn't need to prove anything, and isn't interested in trying. Of course, I've only seen him in fairly small venues. He does have a certain confidence that comes across, and his voice is still very strong and smooth...at least it was last time I saw him.

Saw him in '83 at the Toronto Ex. Best concert ever! Carol Pope and Rough Trade opened for him. A very trippy night.

I love love love Bowie. I saw him live about 10 years ago and he was fantastic.

That...makes me feel old.
