He also slammed "Mitt Romney" by accident when he meant to say "Newt Gingrich". There is a distinct possibility he doesn't know what the hell is going on. Personally, I think he fell off his nut when he picked Palin as his running mate and it was all down hill from there.

The last gasp of dignity from a man drowning in derp. It's a shame that one of the better Senators of the last 50 years will be remembered as a grumpy old bigot who was responsible for unleashing the Palin. Not enough of a shame to give me empathy, but still.
