Why are there monkeys and Seth Rogen in the GIS for "Annie's Boobs?" Why??

Don't people normally go to community college for 2 years and move on to a university? i suppose it could be a running joke that they're all taking 6 years to get an associates or bachelors degree. And MASH did parley a 3 year long war into an 11 year long show. So it's all good.

Considering the trope heavy nature of the show, I'm sure someone has thought about it.

And would that also entail Evil Naughty Annie?

Mugato: Don't people normally go to community college for 2 years and move on to a university?

Not anymore. Now it takes 3-4 years because Republicans slashed the state budget to the point where there's a waitlist for required classes.

I had to go four years at mine. I would major, and then get close, and then all of a sudden find there weren't enough classes left in the cirriculum to actually get to the degree, so then I'd have to switch majors and do it again, and then it happened a second time, and that's why I have a marketing degree now as opposed to Liberal Arts Transfer or Business Mid-Management.

THIS

I am 4 classes from my Bachelors. Actually six classes, realistically. The Capstone and the Writing Intensive requirements for my degree have degree applicable classes that I can take for double credit - but for some absurdly farking retarded reason, these classes are only taught by one teacher, one time a semester... typically during the morning hours and requiring 2-3 days worth of classes each week.

it would be awesome if they somehow tied Evil troy and Evil Abed as being behind their cancellation.

I thought everyone knew that they would come back to finish the season, but it was the NEXT season that was always in jeopardy. I still don't like it.

Ugh...I don't like that they're moving Community and Whitney to Wednesdays. Community doesn't deserve that treatment, and Whitney certainly doesn't deserve to hang out with Community.

You'd think in making a schedule that you'd want to keep similar shows together so fans of one will become fans of the other. Fans of Community will not become fans of Whitney and I think that goes the other way as well.

Why can't NBC just make its 10pm hour a comedy block instead of forcing some drama there. That way, they could move Community so it wouldn't be against BBT and maybe it would score bigger ratings.

\the only good drama NBC has had on Thursday night since ER finished was Southland.

Wait. Where was it reported that Community was moving to Wednesday?

This is the network whose genius plan was to have the 10 o'clock hour completely wiped away for a nightly Jay Leno show.

That they are putting their money behind "Whitney" and that new Chelsea Handler show amazes me not one bit.

Why Would I Read the Article: Has anybody pointed out to the throngs of frothing, rabid protesters that Community is only an ok show?

An ok show is still better than 99% of the crap that is on tv. The fact that 3 or 4 times more people are watching the dreck that is "The Big Bang Theory" is just sad.

I don't think the 10pm comedy block worked out well when they tried it out earlier this year.

I wish The Office and Community would just trade timeslots. Unfortunately, The Office is doing rather well in its spot.

FTA: "Greenblatt has been quoted by IMDb TV as being reluctant to commit to a fourth season until he sees new pilots."

So basically, even if it does come back it will be watered down enough to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

There should be an FCC requirement the way there is (was?) to have educational content on a network for X hours per week - except it's X hours of TV for intelligent, well-read viewers who enjoy parody and literary/filmic references combined with social commentary. Then they can simply write it off as something they have to do, ratings be damned. I know of a show that would totally fit the bill for NBC.

That was your first ep? Bad call.

It is very self aware, and it absolutely embraces nerd culture. If you watch it evolve you can understand and appreciate it. Starting at season 3 is not wise.

Community is the first show i have found in years. Outside Breaking Bad, there is nothing out there that appeals to me, especially sitcoms/comedies. I have an incredibly high bar for those, and it takes a lot to keep me interested. Community has had fewer missteps than any sitcom sincw Seinfeld. It is especially great if youre a pop culture nerd. There isnt another comedy out there worth watching.

I've seen so much about it online, I'll definitely going to give it another shot (plus, Alison Brie's boobs deserve the second look). I was just watching whatever the geniuses at NBC decided to show last night.

I like the show and all, but to pretend that it's for "intelligent, well-read viewers" is pretty farfetched. It's pop culture. It's not neurosurgery.

I always figured that they'd hit graduation day only to find out the Dean has been running some elaborate scam and the previous four years of classes actually didn't count towards anything, forcing them to start over with spanish 101.

Yeah - this. You NEED to watch it in order. And as much as I love the fact that it's a sitcom that insists that you watch it in order, that is part of what kills the show with the general populace; the mouth-breathers don't have patience to watch a show in order - they just want a story that is easily wrapped up within one ep. And, while Community does follow a lot of traditional sitcom builds, a lot of the jokes and motivations do rely on the audience knowing these back interactions.

I just watched the pilot for Community tonight. As opposed to most pilots, it was very entertaining. I had just had an exceptionally large martini, so I might not be the best judge of funny, but I enjoyed it. The show, I mean. I enjoyed the martini too, obviously.
