Why did the interviewer call her a "girl...well, a grown girl"? Couldn't he just say the mascot was a she or a woman? He must have been trying to make it seem worse than it actually was, like the guy tackled knocked over a 9yr old or something.

Especially the person on my FB who took a vacation to Hawaii a week ago and came back and is upset it's not snowing.

Look, no one takes vacations to snowy areas in summer. Can we stop pretending like we really like snow instead of just want a change of pace? And if you want a change of pace, go into the mountains! GAH!

Hah. I do want it though. My job is dependent on it, since I teach environmental ed classes, and we rely on ice, snow, and temps well below freezing for many things in the winter.

I had field passes to the Sugar bowl one year. My friend and I had our picture taken with Joe Thiesman (sp?) And the LSU Tiger mascot. My friend put his arm around the mascot and found out she was a girl tiger the fun way- total accident. He apologized and she said that it happened all of the time. It's certainly less painful than Darwin Cook's method.

She probably is little, maybe 5 feet tall judging by the mascot's height. But yeah, can the media, at least, say "woman" when talking about an adult female?
