Overheard in Bar near JPL.

Astronomer1: "fark lousy junk planets, how are we gonna keep the money
rolling in? My grant ends this month"

Astronmer2: "The Science is strong, we keep finding valuable information,
It's not like LHC, we are finding things, the money will flow"

Astronomer1 "The public is becoming bored with Icy Jumbo planets, they think
the Kepler was is guaranteed to to find an EARTH LIKE EDEN. "

Astronomer2: "What we never said that"!!!

Astronomer1: "Then we better come up with Plan B, cause even with 2,000 hits we might not find a world even as good as mars"

Alarmmed Astronomer2 downs his dring: "Let me think, Oh Wait we can still
claim that there could be habitable Moons on these junk planets. that would
keep the money flowing."

Astronomer1 "Alan you know damed well that it's near imposible for that to happen closer in to a central Star, Three body Newtownian
mechanics, the moons are ejected or crash into the larger bodies, everybody
knows that"

Astronomer2 "those Science Journalists Most of them dont' know Jack, all"

Astronomer1 "Hmmm.. worth a shot, lets meet up the group to coordinate"

Astronomer2 "they'll think it's misleading"

Astronomer1 "Well, tell them if they don't play along, they'll be using
a mop and broom to sight their target and a garbage can
as their desk at their next job, if they ever get one"

Astronomer2 "That should motivate them"

They're not as good as digable planets.

We've been pretty sure Titan (orbiting Saturn) has liquid water oceans for a couple of decades. Tidal forces cause so much friction in the core of the moon that it's heated to a possibly habitable temperature from the inside, or something.

Kind of like your mom....
