kinda lame. I think they should have to change their city's name to the winning team's name for a day. Pittsburgh Steelers, Colorado sounds pretty snappy.

Terrible Tebow?
It is funny to see all the libhate on the guy because he is a Christian. For those of you, "why can't he just keep this shiat to himself" types, now you know how conservatives feel about one's sexual orientation. Why do I need to know? "Ew, so icky, I don't want to see it!" Sound familiar, libbies?
Personally, I don't give a rat's arse about his religion, but I've always found the option to be very interesting to watch. A lot better than a boring I-formation dive up the A gap for 2 yards and a cloud of dust.

There are pictures of Tebow going around next to a picture of Muslims bowing to Mecca, and it says "Why is this okay?" under the Muslims and "...but this is not?" under Tebow. I have to ask, are there really a bunch of Muslims praying to Mecca on the sidelines of football games and no one says anything?

I'd up the stakes. If Denver wins Polamalu has to cut his hair. If Pittsburgh wins Tebow should have to publicly renounce Skip Bayless.

Bringing politics into sports threads is lame. I don't hate him because of anything other than the fact that he's a shiatty quarterback. And the option was fine until the rest of the NFL saw enough of it to know exactly what the Broncos had in their playbook - just like the Wildcat and every other offensive gimmick of the past 30 years. At the end of the day you have to throw from the pocket to win, and he can't do it. Period.

Hope Pittsburgh's Mayor is ready to kneel. Von Doom spells all kinds of trouble for Rapistberger, and the late-game penalty on Harrison puts the Broncos in Field Goal range. Game Over.

This. People need to learn the difference between obstructing someone and mocking them. He's allowed to make himself and his god look idiotic all he wants but everyone else is allowed to mock him for it too. Seriously some make a wish kid is going to see Tebow pray for victory and then win and then wonder why his cancer keeps getting worse. They won't have Pouncey, Clark, or Mendenhall, but Woodley is coming back. Beyond that and Roethlisberger limping they're not any more beat up than any other team. And the Broncos won't have one of the most important players on their defense with Dawkins being out as well as one of their better starting OL. No team is healthy this time of year and the Steelers and Broncos both have injuries they'll have to deal with.

The Steelers are 8.5 point favorites? I'm not sure if the Steelers will get to 9 points total, let alone win by 9 points.
Of course I'm not sure if the Broncos will get to six either, there could be more turnovers in this game than points.

Denver +9
As a Raiders fan this is hard game to watch. I can't cheer for Denver, but I also don't like Pittsburgh (Raiders/Steelers rivalry was great back in the day).
I think the best outcome would be the steelers to squeak by in an ugly game (denver +9 hits) and then they get crushed next week.
If Denver wins the media will go into overdrive on the Tebow stuff again.

Roethlisberger is unable to move around meaning he'll have to play shotgun. That eliminates drop backs and play-actions. He's immobility is against one of the best pass-rushes in the NFL.
Harrison, Keisel, Polamalu, and Allen all missed practice as well. Also Clark was in charge of the secondary on the field. Pittsburgh has the choice of allowing Tebow to run or forcing Denver to attack a severally weakened secondary. I mean, this isn't a cut-and-dry lock here. Denver can win.

I'm not saying it's a cut-and-dry lock, I'm saying that every team is banged up right now. The Broncos need Dawkins much more than the Steelers need Clark for this game. And at this point in the season, missing practices happens for a lot of players. Harrison, Keisel, and Polamalu will all be fine and they'll play. Allen is their 5th CB and a special teams player, he won't be missed all that much. The point I'm trying to make is that both teams are banged up, and a victory by either side won't come down to players being hurt. The Steelers are still the more talented team and should win. If they don't then it's unlikely that they would have won if both teams were perfectly healthy.

Look, I am no Broncos fan, but I've always liked the option. Some college teams have won national championships running it, and I've always wanted to see an NFL team try it. If you want the same boring shiat all the time, great, but I like innovations. Some of them fail. But some of them lead to entirely new offenses and defenses that get adopted all over the league (e.g., West Coast offense).
In fairness, the guy is the age of the average rookie. Give him a couple years and the GM some time to build around him and see if it works. Either cool new offense or epic fail, but hardly boring.
And it takes serious balls for an NFL QB to routinely "keep" and unabashedly run the ball into 11 giant genetic freaks trying to murder him. Most of the QB pussies slide like a soccer player. Now that's lame. Obviously, Tebow's odds of playing until he is 40 like Brett Favre aren't great, but hell yeah, I root for him because I like the offense, Tebow has balls, and I like to see haters silenced as a general rule.

There already is an NFL QB with Tebow-like size and running ability, along with a cannon of an arm. His name is Vince Young. He also did extremely well in college, but is not considered all that scary in the NFL.

He was somewhat, since McDaniels was shiatcanned before he did anything with him(Ironically, a decent amount of McDaniels' moves turned out right). I mostly think, given he arguably had a better year than Mark Sanchez's first year and things like JaMarcus Russell getting 27 games as a starter, given Tebow has actually won games(Unlike JaWalrus), giving him a year to see if he can raise that % up would be good. Maybe hire a specialist QB coach.

He started off doing pretty good, but then it turned out he was a headcase. He had INT problems year two, but he had raised his completion % to a decent level, while his first year was 19 TDs(Rushing + Passing) to 13 INTs, not bad.
In 2009 and 2010, he also had good years, of 12 TDs(2 rushing + 10 passing) to 7 INTs and a 58.7% completiong % starting 10 games in 2009 and lowering that down to 3 INTs to 10 TDs(All passing) the year after with a 59.6% completion % starting 8 games in 2010. Vince Young was a good QB who could be considered dangerous, but a total farknut basketcase, as seen when Jeff Fischer started Rusty Smith over him after he flipped in 2010 and Bud Adams booting his ass out.

No, I just don't think injuries are a valid excuse for winning or losing, especially if the "more injured" team is still more talented even without the players unable to play. Both teams are missing a safety and an OL. One is missing a RB to boot, which shouldn't matter at all because individual RBs aren't terribly important. The OL and safety issues are much more damaging.
