All of them or just the good ones?

Sonic games (even at their Genesis peak) are vastly inferior to Mario games. There, I said it.

No cape or leaf, no fireballs, no vines, no world map. Just going fast through level after level, skipping everything and remembering where the spikes are.

I once played Goldeneye for 12 hours to raise money for my high school band. Well, actually we had to rock in rocking chairs for a "rock-a-thon", but shot each other to pass the time.

Sonic sucks. Get N or get out.

I remember a few years back I watched a bunch of guys marathon the Zelda games. To the best of my knowledge, that was the first time anyone marathoned a video game series for charity. Other types of challenges I'd like to see:

- All Final Fantasies in one week
- All Half-Life games and expansions in 24 hours
- All Dragon Quest games in one week
- Complete as many user-made levels for Doom as possible in 72 hours (for the record, there are over 10,000)

Don't know if the Zelda one you mention was the first charity video game marathon, but this one is probably the first well publicized one.

Your intellectual prowess is staggering.

Hitting him enough to make him spark is easy. Spinning under him when he stampedes is easy. Avoiding the target and flying arm pieces (jump on them once they land, then go for his belly) is easy.

It's when he starts firing those purple energy bolts at you (first three, then six at a time) when everything else is happening that I lose my three rings and then die.

DAMN YOU, E.G.G STATION ZONE!!

Maybe I should concentrate on catching one ring, then hit him during my period of invulnerability...

Garret finishes Scenario 2 as a level 1 or 2 Lord.

The serpent knight is the hardest to kill on level 1. The Bishop is the easiest if you fodder your soldiers to the elementals. I usually kill left lord, serpent knight, bishop, right lord. I also kill or do not use Baldarov even once except in scenario 2 he sits in a mountain range holding off (but not killing) one group so Garret can go west and kill 2 groups first. Scenario 3 Garret gets every single kill. Scenario 4 is a wash i usually pack the 3 heros together and head west to keep the enemies close to where help spawns (this gets Mina more XP with her guardmen). On Scenario 5 Garret solos the entire map except 1 army of horsemen in the west. He will hit King about 2 armies before the end of that level.

I love that game... the second one was so lame in comparison, Der Langrisser for SNES was OK (both of those you have to play on ROM if you live in USA), and I am still pissed they didn't bring over the Langrisser for DreamCast.

And I see the "press right to win" people are here spouting their stupidity. Go play the Genesis games and be amazed at the amount of platforming and alternate paths there were. Hell, the second Zone of the first game was platforming out the ass. Even the Dreamcast and Modern era games had plenty of platforming with varying degrees of alternate pathways.

Twitch TV staff will help a person setup if they let them know of their intentions to start a charitable drive. Plus they would put the stream on the front page which would draw more eyes to it which would mean more money to the cause. With Ustream, you have to do all of the advertising leg work yourself and the funds generated from the commercials mainly go to Ustream instead of to the charitable cause.
