The past 2 days I drove from Houston to Oakland and the car I was driving had Sirius. I was flipping between all the sports channels and the most stories I heard about: Tebow (not the Broncos), the Giants, Brady, what's wrong with the Jets, and why the Steelers will fail. Barely a peep about anything else. I wish I could say it was all ESPN but it wasn't. I'm sticking with local programming. They may say stupid things from time to time but at least they talk about all the other teams as well.

There's at least some minor sanity in the Tebow-verse (formerly known as the NFL) in that NBC had the option of Denver/Pitt for the Saturday prime-time slot, but chose Saints/Lions instead.

Still probably killed some executive to make that call, though.

Ben's a pretty nice guy, for a raptist.

Triumph: How the fark does Ben know what Tebow's doing?

Considering he said "I think", I'm pretty sure he doesn't know and was, you know, deducing/guessing.

Well, its a tough call. Saints (as shown in 2009) do get some very good ratings nationally.

I wish the Saints were on Sunday... all my service industry friends work Saturdays and have Sundays off.

I bet if Denver had beat the Chiefs and in essence don't back into the playoffs with two straight horrendous Tebow performances, they'd been in the prime-time slot.

I sincerely hope it was consensual.

Screwed by LSU/Bama and the need to spend Sunday prepping the Dome. Classic.

Unfortunately, this statement is 100% accurate.

ESPN just loves a good story, which is what Tebow is. I mean, Tebow is the QB for one of the greatest franchises in the midwest, and if you can't Tepreciate Thatbow then I don't Tebow what you do with yourselfTe bowon a daily basis. Also, if Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger had been hanging out with Tim Tebow that fateful March 2010 night in Milledgeville, GA, I'm sure Tebow would have Tebowed and Ben would have found the strength to just say Tebowno to tempation. I predict a final score of 8-6 Steelers because Ben won't be able to get on it with his ankle and they'll settle for two field goals and Tebow will Tebow the ball into the 10th row stadium seats and they'll have to settle for two field goals but the Steelers will get a safety by causing Tebow to Tebow in the endzone with 15 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

Tebow.

Duh, I never even thought about that.

No going ANYWHERE near the quarter this weekend.

Broktun: Watch the Suggs/Skip Bayless "debate" at the bottom of the page.

I normally avoid Skip's BS propaganda minute, but he can't be seriously trying to say Tebow is better than Flacco. The numbers don't lie. Your boy doesn't even hit top 30. Tyler Palko has better numbers than Tebow.

When Tebow beats the Steelers twice in a season then we can start talking. As it is he can't even beat Kyle Orton, the guy he replaced, in a 7-3 game.

NFL Network is sorta the same way lately...talking about teams that aren't even playing this week (Pats, Packers, etc) and barely mentioning a few of the wildcard teams. Of course there's also too much Tebow talk, but at least the Broncos are playing this week. The Texans and Bengals barely come up...

I know they've got a lot of time to fill, but sheesh, at least talk about teams with games this weekend first...then get to the others.

Nope. He lost in 2008 when with the Bears to Rodgers and the Packers and again to them in 2011 when with the Broncos.

WTF. I'm sure it just improves ratings. Notre Dame is nationally broadcast all season long because there's no reason any other team would have a national bandwagoning fanbase. Same with Tebow. Media is consumer-driven. Fark seems to have more Tebow greens than threads about other below-average QBs come to think of it. Now where is the thread where we whine at hollywood producers for making crappy movies that we all paid to see just because it had a comic book character we've all heard of in the title?

I forgot about the 2008 loss. So 2-2 vs. Rodgers. The next game is the tie-breaker then. Now he just needs to find a team (KC put too much into Kolb to ditch him for Orton).

Sorry about that, I mixed up my overrated former backups.

It doesn't help that I was reading an article about Matt Flynn possibly replacing Cassel in KC right before posting that.

Flacco is the perfect qb for Baltimore.

I take Bayless with a grain of salt. The "debate" would be pretty boring if both debaters agreed.

I admit, I'll root for the Broncos this weekend.

Best In The World: I can do everything through him who gives me strength - Isaiah 40:29

I love both these guys. They're phenomenal to watch perform. What can you really hate about Roethlisberger? Most people would kill for his guts and with Tebow he's just a leader, bro. They're like pegasi. Totally rare. They're like a Sex Pegasus of glory and I'm looking forward to the game. Probably catch it on tape though cuz I gotta train but I'll just keep the radar off as to not tip the score.
