News was not as cheery for co-host Jenny McCarthy as ABC announced that she would be replaced by fellow Chicagoan Roger Ebert for the 2013 and 2014 broadcasts.

Goddamn, the show is turning into the movie "Freaks". How long until Dick and Roger start walking towards Ryan Seacrest with knives to cut his face up while chanting "ONE OF US, ONE OF US".

Dick Clark was much better this year than last, but he's had another year of therapy and what not also. Still, he needs to retire, live out the rest of his life on the beaches drooling at all the hot chicks. Or just drooling. Whichever.

I have no idea what the story is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with him owning the brand and insisting they let him say a few things on the show, even though he creeps out the audience.

When I saw her on TV, I really wished that I could have been down at Times Square that night; I'd find my way near her, get interviewed on TV and announce to the whole world that my New Year's resolution was to make sure all my friends have their children properly vaccinated.
