Every now and then I see an article or blog about how Obama is in for an uphill battle this fall and I wonder where the author gets his drugs.

It's not just the contract but what actual work did he do to fulfill the contract?

2012-01-06 04:05:56 PM
I doubt he is lying on this, if you were stealing money from the government why would you want to make it public,if I was one of his partners I wouldn't want that stuff out there.

In Newt's defense, he is a lying sack of shiat.

2012-01-06 04:10:13 PM
I like how his defense is: "I can't release the information, because the company I founded and own has to sign off, and they won't do it."

I mean, there's stupid and then there's stupid.

runwiz: It's not just the contract but what actual work did he do to fulfill the contract?

He gave them access to... him. About as useful as allowing Terry Schiavo access to fresh air.

Don't forget there's "..... and my partners who listen to me because I am the big cheese won't sign off on it (because I have told them not to)".

at some point I'm going to start thinking the world doesn't really exist and that everything has just been a dream

I would have thought the competition to become gop candidate for leader of the free world would have been somehow ... different

I expected some nonsense sure, but the only way this disgrace can meaningfully be explained to me at this point is if one of the candidates rips his mask off and reveals himself to be Chevy Chase

it's a non-stop farce

Boxcutta: Every now and then I see an article or blog about how Obama is in for an uphill battle this fall and I wonder where the author gets his drugs.

In defense of the authors' of said articles / blogs, it ALL boils down to who gets the blame for a continued shiatty economy or credit for a "turning around" one. The American populace is too stupid to realize flubbing 57 states or eating arugula is not one percent of one percent as dangerous as the shiat the clowns say on the Right, so it all comes down to tangible shiat "that be bad".

Contracts are signed by two parties. Freddy Mac is, functionally, a govt. entity. We should be able to get them to release their copy. 10 years ago it was plausible that they were a private entity, but with a theoretical govt. backstop, I don't think you can really argue that anymore, especially since their de-listing.

I hope those Freddie questions are the only ones he is asked for the remainder of his campaign. It's less cheap than asking about his private life (affairs), and the culpability here is a bigger transgression IMO.

Regardless of party, I would vote against any sleaze-peddling scumbag that has pushed ownership and McMansion-subsidization on the populace. He can get teary-eyed about talk about Habitat for Humanity until the cows come home, but offering advise and aid to the poor is an entire world apart from govt's meddling in (and fueling of) a debt-charged RE market.
