Now is a great time of year to visit the Toledo Zoo because they have one of the most badass Christmas light displays around. I only wish we would get some snow.

I thought the range of the Siberian tiger had golden bears, not brown bears.

Never fails to amuse me how similiar members of the Felidea family are, despite differences in size. The halting steps and total alertness of the cubs, the easy nonchalance of the mom, the headrubbies, the flicking tails, the random grooming - if you've ever worked at an animal shelter, you've seen all of this.

The mom's tongue is probably bigger than my head, though.
