Kandi wrote "No Scrubs" for TLC. She was actually nominated to two grammys that year for her songwriting. But, that is what she does. The whole vapid, narcissistic, trophy housewife persona doesn't really apply to Kandi Burris.

IIRC, it is an offshoot from the already-existing hooks-up-to-your-iPod toy line. She's just putting her name on a line from their company. There was a scene in a recent episode that showed her meeting with that rep and discussion options.

Meh. Atlanta's spinoff is a weird animal. Kandi = very successful songwriting career (not as popular as a singer), Cynthia is an actual bona fide model, and Phaedra has a successful law practice. Sheree, Kim and Nene seem to be the stereotypical golddigger AWs. I used to love Sheree, but she seems to be coming unglued. Buying a porsche while living in a tiny apartment? Supposedly she is building that mansion, but her mom's name is the one on the paperwork... I am happy for Kim, though. She's finally with a rich man who isn't married.
