Even were this story reputable and accurate, which it obviously isn't, the fact remains that Republicans keep acting like maybe all political viewpoints deserve equal respect. They don't. You can't be an anti-science, racist, hatemongering jackhole (i.e., Republican) and expect to be treated like an adult. To be fair, religious institutions whose primary mission is proselytization generally require of their employees adherence to their religion. It's why Lutherans tend to have a hard time getting jobs as Mormon missionaries and why mosques usually don't hire Catholics as imams.

They do it for reasons similar to why airlines try not to hire flat-earthers as pilots and why hospitals aren't keen to employ blind heart surgeons.
