Yes, it would be the best way, since liberals usually don't ignore facts as well as the republicans do. Maybe they've decided that it would be a bad idea to use facts against them, because the liberals might turn around, develop a backbone and do the same to the republicans - which would be far more damaging if the republican constituency actually pays any attention to it and doesn't use their reality warping prowess to ignore that inconvenient reality.

There was an article awhile ago that basically covered why we believe what we believe. The researchers found that even if we are not aware of it we are having an emotional reaction to facts which guide our decisions. Basically whatever appeals to us we will believe and will go through mental gymnastics to rationalize this or that conclusion.

Many liberals are against it, but in general the are meh to the idea and don't really invest the cycles to fight against it. In reality with both have our nuts. Liberals have the nutty environmentalist terrorist, conservatives have abortion clinic bombers, etc. Both like to ignore facts that contradict their views. Though from a policy/election standpoint Democrats have a wide variety of candidates while the Republicans tend to kick out of their party those who don't subscribe to their ignorance. (You can survive in the Democratic party being for serious welfare reform, you can't survive in the Republican party being for Global Warming.)

Why would they do that? To the Left lies socialism, and socialism has a record of failure that goes back to the beginning of history. Socialism has a record of failure so complete only a Liberal or Academic can't understand it. If there is a motivational factor to move Left, the success of the model sure isn't one of them.

The problem is for the Conservatives to fire up their base in the Internet, they need to get crazy, and getting crazy marginalizes
them with independent voters.

The reason why they don't have an effective 'expose the media' type website is because reality doesn't really find the media as left as they have told their base to believe, so they will have to get crazy (i.e. make up stuff, act like a lone nut represents liberals, take things out of context, cut up video etc..) to get enough video for any traffic.

'Liberal' media watchdogs actually have TOO MUCH simple raw video and audio of conservative craziness, they don't need to show a lone nut, the Republican leadership and FOX News provide ample footage.

Simply put Conservatives have telling themselves about a such a extreme bias in the media that is simply not backed up with facts. Reality will provide them with some things they can point out, but it will not nearly be at the level they believe in their heart to be true, so they will have to manufacture things just to live up to their own base expectations.
