Cleopatra married her brother, Ptolomy XIII, who according to Egyptian Royal custom, became Prince or Pharoah Consort, and then her other brother, Ptolomy XIV. This was common in certain royal families, notably the Ptolomies. She ruled alone when Ptolomy XIII died by drowning, either during a war or an attempt to escape from some subjects who were trying to kill him for some reason or other. Ptolomy XIV did not live long, dying of some disease or other. Cleopatra reigned to what was a ripe old age in those days, being well into her forties when she met Mark Antony, but claiming to be only XXXIX.

She also married and had children by the Roman General Mark Antony and by the future Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar.

I think she's a very plausible role model for the Kardashians and that a reality show entitled "Who wants to marry a Kardashian?" is in the works.

Cleopatra was not much of a looker, contrary to her popular image, but she could really turn on the charm. She practised the dark arts of seduction on slaves, working with a captive audience until she could captivate free men. Suddenly Will Cuppy pops into my mind for some reason. He's my literary hero and lived in a shack on Jones Beach, Long Island, which was named Tottering-on-the-Brink. He was both funny and educational.

See, no...it has to fit contextually. There's no reference in the article to an ark (Curse you for making me read that, by the way.), and unless you know that some sources put her on a bot when she commited suicide via asp, well, let's face it, it just makes no sense.

Now, if you'd said something like, "I'd show her my asp, if ya know what I mean, and I think you do," THEN you might be onto something.
