we are not that scary!!!!!!

I just realized that post could be taken another way and I want to clarify. That post was not directed at the very nice pictures you guys (foolishly) posted. You look great! (pre-photoshop)

I was referring to the fact that I too play video games much more than I should. But I do try to help out around the house, especially since she went back to work.
/One thing I'm not able to do is cook. If I made it and it involves anything more than boiling water you don't want it.

It is a smart person who admits that they play video games too much....and that they cannot cook. I bet you order a mean pizza though!

Ummmmm, no. He's a phonephobic. Couldn't order a pizza to save his life.

Brave, so very brave..and hey, nice lookin too! :) nice pig. As a Cincinnatian I kinda like piggies with wings...

Brave or a bit cracked in the head? :) I'll let Pig know that he has a fan, he'll be tickled.
A cat! Daemon "helping" me find a recipe.
[farm8.staticflickr.com image 375x500]

Daemon is handsome kitteh! My father in law once said that he thought all cats were Tabbies, since that is all he ever saw as a child...

Tell ya what he knew the definition of poor..this generation, not so much.

I think his particular coat is called Mackerel Tabby. He's a very good boy he doesn't jump on the furniture or counters. I'm lucky because Mr. Paper is allergic to cats so that was the compromise when our households merged.

Tell me about it I've been spending a lot of time with my Great Aunt (90) lately and some of the stories she's been telling, I just can't imagine what that kind of poor feels like.

That's actually in Vancouver's airport on our way to Hawaii for vacation. Since Alberta's kind of landlocked big fish tanks make me giggly so I made my hubby take a picture.

L33t Squirrel: sherpa18: and since you (as well as a bunch of the Caturday Crew) know my actual last name, you might find it amusing that every email spell check program I have ever used would like to "suggest" changing it to "dandelion"

My last name is hyphenated and both are kinda weird, so I think the spell-check just looks at it and says, "f*ck it, I'm not gonna waste the cycles on that." However, most people get the deer-in-headlights look when they see it as well, so I'm quite used to responding to my rank or job title than my name. Years from now I will still look up when someone shouts "S1" (admin section), "LT" (my rank, for now...), or "XO" (Executive Officer). :)

AGGGGRRRRRHHHHHHHH!!!

Yup, I have blood pressure (a tad high but I take meds), blood too....seems I am real. I bet everyone else here is real too.

I think there are those who just don't get that you can care about someone that you have never met. That you worry about them. That you laugh at their cats antics, you cry when they lose a furry friend or family member. That you care about them.

btw, I AM real, so is this cat....who just saved our back yard from a kitty intruder!!!

I think he doesnt' want another cat in the house......4 is enough

[i112.photobucket.com image 640x480]

and yes, I know....have at it! Wanted show off the brave kitty who save us from that kitty who dared, DARED to be in our back yard while the boys were on the patio!

Some of my family members and others I've told about Caturday think it sounded silly. My sisters couldn't imagine how internet people could be real friends.

Then last year we started the Alien Tour, ha, try to explain that to people.
Like when I was booking the hotel rooms, the girl at the hotel wanted to know what name to book them under, I said "the Alien Tour". Then I attempted to explain how a bunch of people who never met, who post silly pictures of cats on an internet site called Fark, were sending another girl we never met, who's nickname is AlienNarrrr from Canada to NY, then to Texas with a cat, then to other states to meet other people who post silly pictures of cats every Caturday. Strangers with crazy nicknames from all over the US, Canada and a couple other countries, sent several thousands of real dollars to another stranger they never met, who was trusted to take all that money and send an Alien on the trip of a lifetime. Sounds pretty unreal doesn't it!

I'm surprised she didn't tell me to put down the crack pipe. Everyone thought I was crazy.

When we all got together last year in Binghamton and I met many of the people who were able to show up to meet Alien, we all realized just how real we all were. Alien went on her tour and met many of the others who were just crazy names behind the keyboard.

So yes, we're all real, even though people still can't believe it, we know it's true.

Everyone thoug ...

I tried to explain Caturday to my sister at Christmas -- she saw me reading a thread, looked at a few captioned cats, and gave up when I started telling her who all of you! She'll never understand.

back to the football game, everyone have a good week.

syzygy whizz: Savarose: valnt9: oh, he's also very jealous of Caturday
none of you are "real" people
why should I think you care about me or anyone else?
how could you? you're not "real"
AGGGGRRRRRHHHHHHHH!!!

I used to be married to a guy just like that....key words, "used to be". :)

Haven't posted but once this weekend, real life beating me up here, so I empathize with the rest of you. Hope it gets better for all of us, and if not, there's always alcohol...

Have a good week, friends, see you on Thursday.

And a Steve Cat:

I almost married a guy like that...on his work days he works and on his days off he's OFF.
We had some interesting...er...discussions about housework, seeing as how I was working as well.
F'rinstance, I don't like to tell people to do things. So I'd say "The trash needs emptied"...and when I came home the trash still needed emptied.
GRRRRRR..."But you didn't ask me to do it!"
Roaring screeching halt...technically, he was right. I hadn't asked him to do it, and he didn't 'hear' my statement as a request.
Had to learn to make straight direct requests...and that still wasn't enough.

He married somebody else, and we're friends when we meet, so I guess it's all good...

Cretinbob is the same way. Days off are for playing games, not working. He also doesn't see my reasoning for wanting things picked up. He sees it as his house and if he wants to leave it dirty, then he feels he has the right to a dirty house. I'd like the house clean in case someone stops over. He thinks if people don't want to see a dirty house then don't stop over. Or if I want a clean house I have to clean it all myself, even the things he leaves laying around.

My youngest son is just as bad. If something is on the floor and needs to be picked up, or if the dishes need to be put away, he doesn't think it has to be done unless I tell him to do it. Really, can't you see there is something on the floor that doesn't belong there, bend over and pick it up!!

I've been checking into hiring someone to clean. Then I'll tell my son he can't have money for whatever he wants because I used it to pay the cleaning people.

yobbery: John Buck 41: yobbery: John Buck 41: tigerose: Oh! Happy day! I just recieved word that someone I TF'd purchased a 12 month subscription, so I now have another free TF to use! Yeah! I think I will save it for a bit. And even better, I know I will have the pleasure of seeing posts frm this person for another year! Woot!

Happy Dance!

That would be me, via Mrs. Buck. She's not a Farker but logged onto my account to do so as a very belated Xmas gift.

Man!....you must suck at housework!

/I keed, I keed...
//That was very nice of her.

I must have an acute case of derp tonite. I have no idea what the 'housework' reference means.

Meaning she wants to occupy you so that you can't do any housework....because you're so bad at it....offering the same quality of help as our furry friends.

Gotcha.

valnt9: and what's even funnier is many of us are FB friends too.

Yeah but there are people on FB with fake profiles, they're real but pretending to be someone else.
