Restrictions have been changed to "limited by discomfort/pain" - so now I can slowly start to rehab & regain strength! The side incision is still VERY sore, so I have to be careful with it for another month or so. If it still hurts after that timeframe, I have to call for an appointment. Aside from that, I don't go back for 6 months!

Time for a nap. So very tired after making dinner & helping mom with a quilt project. I guess at this point I may as well wait until next week to upload new pics...

konekosama: ugh. holidays were fun but the news that came with it was not so great. our landlords have filed bankruptcy and sent us a notice saying they were only paying for a week of services in january and then we had to gtfo. well, yeah, last i checked that was a little bit illegal. no eviction notice and no letter from a bank or other place that verifies their claim. the rumor going around was the bank was locking us out on the 9th and we had to be gone. we're not moving til we have a place to live and we know that they can't just turn off the water or shut off the gas but they don't HAVE to put more gas in our tank for the heat. three out of four tenets are staying on and we'll probably just pool our money to get more gas. but yeah, what a fun holiday!
so now i get to pack up everything i own yet again, and will probably not have much help from hubby who spends his day off playing video games instead of packing like i ask. i might have to pack it all but damn it, he's shlepping it all without me helping! and of course when we move i am refusing to take the bed or the frame with us as we have had way too many issues with the bedbugs and fleas. to top it off the landlords are refusing to give back our deposit and have charged us rent for the first week of january. we got a lawyer but he has not called back or even verified that the landlords really were bankrupt. and the old maintenance guy still has keys so he stripped the upper apartment for the copper the other night.
sorry for the thread jacking. i hope all the cats feeling under the weather get better soon and that the new year turns itself around so we can have a better time than it's started out.

this is the best christmas present i have ever gotten! now i don't have to get up in the middle of the night to refill my glass of water, i only have to get up and pee every two hours!

sounds like either our husbands are related, or at the least went to the same school.

Sometimes makes me wish I could pull out my dumb Blond act...but I only use that when I want my tires checked/filled...or tail light changed out...anything automotive....I own teh derp.

Yup, I have blood pressure (a tad high but I take meds), blood too....seems I am real. I bet everyone else here is real too.

I think there are those who just don't get that you can care about someone that you have never met. That you worry about them. That you laugh at their cats antics, you cry when they lose a furry friend or family member. That you care about them.

btw, I AM real, so is this cat....who just saved our back yard from a kitty intruder!!!

I think he doesnt' want another cat in the house......4 is enough

and yes, I know....have at it! Wanted show off the brave kitty who save us from that kitty who dared, DARED to be in our back yard while the boys were on the patio!

I almost married a guy like that...on his work days he works and on his days off he's OFF.
We had some interesting...er...discussions about housework, seeing as how I was working as well.
F'rinstance, I don't like to tell people to do things. So I'd say "The trash needs emptied"...and when I came home the trash still needed emptied.
GRRRRRR..."But you didn't ask me to do it!"
Roaring screeching halt...technically, he was right. I hadn't asked him to do it, and he didn't 'hear' my statement as a request.
Had to learn to make straight direct requests...and that still wasn't enough.

He married somebody else, and we're friends when we meet, so I guess it's all good...

yeah, I got 27 Christmas cards from figments of my imagination,too
and he knows I went to Lexington to meet Alien and a few others
he's even been home when I've gotten phone calls from Q_J.

Oh yeah girl! I got more cards frm Caturday folk than relatives. Lurv it! My hubby doesnt seem to care, he knows I am the social one. Before Caturday I was a Mod on a Guinea Pig board. I sing wif a large group, I do solo work..etc...and he is a computer weenie..so he gets it...

I love spell check. my company Holiday card to our clients (world wide) said something like 'thank you for your custom' .....yes, that is a word but it makes NO SENSE. I guess that is what you get when it is someone in Belgium doing a holiday card for the entire world. It wasn't even a spell check error....it was a use of the correct word error.

Good evening, all! Sorry I've been AWOL this weekend, I was going to say that I was recovering from the annual family debacle (not to mention the copious amounts of rum), but I finally had time to read the entire thread and have realized something.

Compared to what some of you are going through, my so called "issues" with my family are trivial. In fact, infinitesimal - and when put in perspective, some of them (in hindsight) are actually pretty damn funny (such as the disappearing highway overpass and the ginourmous regurgitating turd monster, just 2 of the more interesting stories I could share).

I truly appreciate you guys for making me realize this, and I seriously hope that this will be a better year for my dear Caturday friends.

i love spell check. I used to work at Verizon....when they changed their name from GTE to Verizon we would write the name and spell check said 'Venison'. Yeah, that seemed right.

Oh! Happy day! I just recieved word that someone I TF'd purchased a 12 month subscription, so I now have another free TF to use! Yeah! I think I will save it for a bit. And even better, I know I will have the pleasure of seeing posts frm this person for another year! Woot!

Wow! I've known people that were fastidious about keeping stuff neat and clean, but not to *that* degree!

What's the proper way to clean and fold a driveway?
Is a fence air dry or tumble dry?

Considering this is what the fence looked like when I started, I figured the term cleaning was as good as any. If I don't keep round-up on this fence that tall grass will come back and rot out the new wire too.

Sorry, didn't think I was spreading excess calories that far away! :) ohh man, if I could get you all in a room for dinner....you would not go away hungry! Lasagna, Stew, Dunken chicken..veggies..cookies...cheese cake, chocolate peanuts....oooh! Would be teh awesome!
