Not that the decision wasn't a tight squeeze. "We thought real closely about supporting Newt Gingrich, because he's a cheater and we like cheaters," said Hoff. Gingrich has been married three times. The then-U.S. House Speaker carried on a years-long affair with his future third wife, while still married to wife No. 2.
That. is. awesome.

"But because he signed a bill allowing for human consumption of wild horses . . . the girls don't want any part of Obama.
It's all well and good to not allow horses to be slaughtered for food/dogfood but then you end up with nobody buying lame horses at auction so instead they live in horrible conditions and then die of starvation or disease or they freeze to death. I am betting the 70% of Americans that oppose the slaughter of horses are not willing to spend the hundreds a month to board and feed a single horse let alone the hundreds of thousands that will be nom, nom, nomed. I own horses and really think they are great animals but like with abortion it's just the lesser evil.

I'm guessing Santorum was a close second, just like in Iowa. Which is no doubt just fine with him.
I mean, if anyone should understand that sometimes it feels pretty good to come in #2, it's Rick Santorum.

The funny part is Ron Paul at least keeps his ideals and does not change them for money or because they are a touch crazy. The rest of the field for President are outright whores taking money to do something or to further their own personal fortune. Politicians charge the US people for screwing them without even a happy ending. Compare net worth of presidents and congressman going in then 4 years later.

I totally agree with you. I hate it when dimwits with only the most casual understanding of agriculture try to apply their "oh they are soooooo cute" logic outside of the pet store. Horses are large farm animals. They are expensive to care for while alive and even more so at end of life. Being able to 'humanely' and efficiently dispose of a lot of otherwise unwanted protein and fat is the only logical solution. It is an export product too. It isn't like McDonalds is going to sneak some into your burger.

You can't hide the Dems from their whorish nature. Democrats are corrupt and malleable to the exact same degree as Republicans (that is, 100%).
Any politician that stands their ground and abides by their stated ideals (which they were elected upon) is admirable, even when they have conflicting beliefs to yours. It's what they're

My problem with this is that I can't imagine they would taste very good. The only people who would eat there are just weirdos who like the idea of eating stray dogs or people who think it makes them "edgy." Put them on the menu, sure, but you can't devote the entire restaurant to them. It's just a doomed business model.

He does not change his ideas because he is old. It is kind of funny that not changing your ideas to match the times and circumstances has become a desired/required trait. You would think that you would want someone with flexible new ideas to match whatever comes along. Now, if you change your mind on new data, you are a "flip flopper". Many is the company that failed to change with the times and went under, why does that not apply to managing a country?

About ten years ago California outlawed the transportation of horses for slaughter. This was a ballot initiative that was mostly driven by women horse owners. At the time, the primary supply of horses for slaughter (not counting wild horses) where the result of too many horses from private owners that could not be sold. Which were mostly women who thought their horse was so damn special that they just had to breed it because someone was bound to buy it for too much money. So the people primarily responsible for the problem outlawed the one viable solution to horse overpopulation without offering any kind of alternative.
