Aw, come on. The "Science Ninja Hero Batman" thing is clever. That's what Batman *is*.
I liked the Superman logo on the giant robot, but... no.
Ultraman/Aquaman, Cobra/Green Lantern, Captain Harlock/Wonder Woman... blargh!

Yeah I think I liked the Batman designs best, but Batman seems to do the best of all heroes with re-interpretation.
The Speed Racer Flash just made me think of the JLU scene where Flash buys a van and GL wants to know why he'd need one.

No thanks. I hate every ounce of it. First, because anime is almost as cool and fresh as steampunk and also because the characters are all just ripped off designs from earlier anime cartoons with the appropriate superhero symbols pasted on.
Yuck.

The style is an homage to the 1970's anime "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman", AKA "Battle of the Planets"
...and the artist missed an opportunity to base the Joker on Zoltar/Bergu Kattse

Close, Captain Harlock. Esmeralda to be exact, though it may be a gender swapped Harlock (which, when you get down to it, is basically saying the same thing).

Wow, you guys are such dicks. How many of you are comic book artists for a big name company? Pull those sticks out of your asses. Guy was just having a bit of fun. The drawings are pretty well done, and kind of whimsical. I doubt anyone was being "SUPER SERIOUS" about making this. And before you jump onto the part in the article that says that "DC almost made this", I am sure that just means that a boss of his saw his stuff and wanted it done, but was shot down (maybe by the artist himself).
So, if you all think this is crap, what's the best that you can do? I assume something like this:

In order to critique the work of a professional, one does not have to be a professional of the same kind. Or do you also tell people to shut up when they yell at a stupid play in football because they aren't professional athletes? Or stop diners from returning improperly prepared foods because they are not chefs?

From Wikipedia: ("Gatchaman" Berg Kattse = "Battle of the Planets" Zoltar)
Berg Kattse was created by the alien Sōsai X to lead the terrorist organization Galactor in its quest to take over the world. He is a gestalt entity created through the fusion of fraternal twins while still in the womb. Because his component parts were male and female, Bergu Kattse was prone to switch sexes numerous times in his life, forcing him to hide his identity until he could control it in his adulthood, becoming a master of disguise as a result. This bizarre burden led him to be easily recruited and manipulated by Sōsai X when he contacted Kattse and convinced him that he was a superior being. Eventually, Kattse learned that Sōsai X was only using him and had no more need for him or the Earth; he committed suicide rather than live with the knowledge that he was just a freak of nature.
.
.
.
The appearances of Katse's female form were explained away as Zoltar's sister Mala and, in one instance, Agent S-9, who looked like Mala, was never named as such.

If I remember my trivia right, without getting all Google-y, the US version has the Zoltar persona shared by a brother/sister team, as some sort of ploy to confuse G-Force. In Japan (where the hand can be used like a knife), Berg is a composite being, brother and sister fused into one, in an attempt to create a powerful, perfect being. Didn't work out too well, as Katse had a tendency to switch genders at the drop of a hat.

So instead we get borderline homoerotic bishi design. Good trade. Hey when you draw skin one solid color throughout the body they look like a mannequin. At least they drew noses on their characters and good eye size and head size.

What the hell, I'll take a stab at answering:
The Flash needs a car to pick up chicks.
The pollution from surface-dwellers has mutated Aquaman into a living magic capsule sponge toy.
Superman developed a kryptonite phobia, and he must use a giant mecha for even the simplest rescues.
The Joker is female so there can be Joker/Harley lesbian fanfic.

I like anime, especially 60s - 80s. I like DC Superheroes. I like chocolate in my peanut butter. But I could not watch this. Unless it was subbed.
80s anime. Girls with guns. And not much else.
