None. The Germans burned them all to the ground and the Russians pissed on the ashes.

5...two to hold the painting...one to nail it to the wall....and one to stand back and make sure it's level

FTFA: Museum director Mariusz Hermansdorfer told TVN24 on Wednesday that the action revealed some security breaches, but that he also considered it a "witty artistic happening."

The museum registrar's statement was, of course, too curse-laden to be printed.

Too late. The Polish art wing has been annexed and replaced with a fine German art wing.

If they spend enough time looking at German art, the paintings will probably hang themselves.

"It has shown that the young generation of artists, unlike their predecessors, wants to see their works in museums," Hermansdorfer said.

This is why you majored in art.

It really says something about today's Western society that people would create art to make money to pay off massive debt to the corporations and banks, instead of creating art for art's sake.

Because you just don't hear the phrase "witty artistic happening" enough these days.

csb:

When my dad was in the Army War College, his section posed for an old-timey photo and made up a little name plate that said they fought in the Civil War. He then got it framed, sneaked into another military academy (I can't remember which one), and managed to hang it in a hallway between a picture of Lincoln and Grant. I have no idea if it's still there, but I'm guessing it is.

I don't know about Polish artists, but it only takes one Canadian "comedian". (new window)
