Ogden is such a weird town. It's more than a little depressing to ask a waiter where to find a decent blues club and get a blank stare in response. i would not be surprised at any sudden rampages that happen there.

Grew up there. Sad to see this happen. I have friends from high school who are OPD cops, I hope they're ok.

It would suck if this guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Can we say life sentence for something not commited? It is unfortunate that once an officer writes something up, it replaces the Bible as truth...and the Bible isn't truth anyway. A traffic ticket cops don't mind you beating on occassion. However, if they write something this serious up...I just hope they got the right guy, and not just the only guy they saw in the neighborhood. In truth, he may have just been panicked by sudden gunfire...not running from the cops. Oh that's right, the cops shot the guy, so the Bible (truth?), once again, does not matter.

I hope that the cops where I live understand that if they come breaking into my house, they darn well better announce themselves in clear and no uncertain terms or they will get shot at.

I am not glad that cops were shot, but I am glad that cops showed up to do their job. Flint cops only show up to fill out reports to home owners for insurance repairs. The last shooting outside our house we heading to the basement(foxholes were built for a reason) and called 911. Cops waited over a half hour before doing forms. Never came to our house even though we told the operator that we saw the shooters and could give the direction they were heading. Flint animal rescue have bullet proof vest. Not sure why the cops do. Cops here only shoot at those that have knives for 10 years now.
