What I love is that this happened because he directed so much hatred towards the gay community that they got mad and decided to do this. After realizing he angered a large enough group of people who have been moved to act he rethought his stance and realized that gays are just people like you and me, and that he has no right to judge or hate them likened them to child molesters and turtle-farkers. He just doesn't learn. What's great is that this is continuing to shine a light on his hatred and how a fundie makes such a habit of bearing false witness against his fellow man.
