Don't you know that PBS costs literally billions and billions of taxpayer dollars per year?

funny how he was pro-gay rights when he was running for governor of massachusetts.

I strongly recommend the Rs keep harping on anti-gay rhetoric. Especially those trying to get mainstream voter support. I think that's a winning route for them to follow.

I saw an interview with a "typical" Iowan family the other day, trying to decide who to vote for in the caucus. The wife said she was voting for Romney, because she wanted to vote for someone she could trust. I damn near fell out.

It seems Mitt Romney is doing it for purely budget reasons and has actually stated he likes PBS, but feels it is a luxury the federal government can't afford.

Bert and Ernie are going to Hell, along with the rest of the gays and liberals. Mitt's just sticking to the Mormon platform.

How do you look at something like PBS and decide, "Yep, that's gotta go." I can't imagine this. I can't follow this line of thinking at all.

Yea, reading the article still makes Mitt an asshole. His stance is the one of the GOP for the past year or so.

Who in their right mind thinks eliminating PBS is a smart and/or popular way to help fix the budget?

"We've tried nothing, and we're all out of ideas! Hey, how about PBS? That'll do it!"

Nice! See, this is how to win a debate. When someone points out bullshiat you attack the one who pointed it out's message and throw them on the defensive with not on topic nonsense.

Why does Mittens want to defund PBS?

President Obama, against whom Romney would be running if he wins the Republican nomination, has supported PBS funding.

Oh. There it is. Absolutely cannot agree with the black guy. About anything. No sir.

Play the racist card for no reason. Another way to win a debate. Attack someone and call them racist to put them on the defensive. Its farking amazing how much this works.

Which is what I garnered from the article as well. However, I still find it silly that this is one of the things the he goes after. I'd bet a full paycheck that he'd have no issues goverment-funding a religious channel.

According to the article PBS costs each person $1.35 a year.

I can afford that and I haven't watched PBS in probably 2 decades.

And like Planned Parenthood, I don't feel a few million dollars to that program is going to have much of an effect on the U.S.'s $12 Trillion GPD. They're going after it because - fark you - that's why.

You want to talk funding with me. Lets talking funding. Lets talk about military spending, police spending, technology spending, education spending, tax-cut spending, social services spending .... don't bring me limp-dick things like PBS to strip funding from.

I didn't play the race card. I didn't say "can't agree with anything he says because he's black". I just used "black guy" to refer to the president, because he IS a black guy. Douche.

Hell, I'm willing to compromise. I'll vote Republican for my Congresscritters if they're willing to sit there (as a group) and read the Constitution like they did on the first day of the 112th session. No legislation, no farking with taxes, no social whargarrbl. Just sit and read the damn Constitution for two years.

Well, I guess I will finally throw my opinion in here (all I have done so far it criticize)

I am a Libertarian. I really dont give a shiat if PBS/NPR gets Federal funding. I could also care less if they were defunded.

Basically, I am apathetic to this issue, which makes watching both sides butthurt fun.
