I think House is played out. Terra Nova seems like a bunch of Syfy movies thrown in a blender and poured on the screen. So no lose either way.

simplicimus: I think House is played out.

House should have ended seasons ago with him walking into the psych ward.

2012-01-04 09:26:30 AM
Yeah I don't see House coming back. Terra Nova, I got bored of the third episode.

2012-01-04 09:30:47 AM
I thought it was decided last year that this season was House's last. Maybe it was just Laurie saying that he didn't see a future beyond this season.

2012-01-04 09:32:12 AM
Honestly with House the last season seemed far more fresh and enjoyable again. Either way I just hope they let it come to a close rather than just cancel it.

I hope they renew Terra Nova, but only because I want to have a four-way with the mother, the daughter, and the girlfriend.

I don't know, I loved the episodes where he was in the psych ward...especially when he was torturing Booger on the basketball court.

Terra Nova ratings are not in the crapper, but not stellar either. With huge production costs, average ratings don't help. Though I would like to see it renewed too see if it can be put of the right track.

House was done a while ago (IMO).

I just hope they renew Fringe, one of the few shows I have an investment in.

See, that was my confusion, too. I had heard the same thing.

That's my only concern; I'd like to see it wrapped up somehow.

I wouldn't mind being wrapped up with 13, Cuddy and Adams, if ya know what I mean, and I think you do.

We've been watching the weekly Terra Nova train wreck and loving every minute of it. It's fairly entertaining. I actually think the show started to hit it's stride with the past two episodes. They need to drop the boring family drama and cop show tropes and just focus on farking up dinosaurs and the sixer plot.

Given FOX"S past track record, I'm certain that they will come to the right decision.

Yeah, that episode was one of the best, but there was a whole total of like 3 good episodes after that one. It would have been better with the epic ending.

If House comes back, get rid of the asian Velma Dinkley. She's annoying as hell.

House will get the nod. It is Fox, after all. They can't jerk off without screwing it up.

I want it to stay on out of sheer curiosity. I can't look away. It's more than a train wreck, it's a plane full of nuns crashing into another plane full of disabled kids, with the flaming debris hurtling out of the sky onto a train filled with puppies, which is headed for a school bus full orphans that's stuck on the tracks.

Yeah, it's that good. Or bad. It's all in the perspective.

I agree, that would have been a good place to end it. However, I find that, after a long stretch of mediocrity, this season is really fun (despite a lot of legtimate complaints). One possible reason for this is that they made the medical cases more relevant to the main story line (the jail case got House a new team member, the next one helped fix his relationship with Wilson, then a couple of cases with rich patients, trying to get money to rebuild his department).

I got an idea for a BIG show. I mean BIG. So the Earth is so polluted we have to go BACK IN TIME to live! But... wait for it... no one remembered that there would be DINOSAURS! No, the time machine is hard-coded to the reign of the thunder lizards.

I think I'm turning into the Onion guy. Sure, I still own a tv, but it's pretty much just for Netflix these days. After Lost and BSG, there's just nothing I'm interested in.

I whole heartedly agree. Bring on more of the Crazy Taylor vs. Old Man Taylor fights. I also do hope we get to see Lucas demand from his father, "Give me mah bukket".

Dresden Files would make a great series, yes I know their was all ready one, but the syphilis channel farked it up.

What I really would love to see come to the big screen is the Sandman Slim series.

I had exceedingly low expectations for Terra Nova and have been pleasantly surprised. I look forward to watching it each week probably more than any other show. Probably helps that I watch it on a 99 inch screen with surround sound though.

I want to see each book made into 2-3 part minis, airing on either Showtime or HBO. It would allow for the vast majority of the plot from each book, while also allowing for the violence and language in the series itself.

And James Marsters as Michael. Book it, done. (No, I don't think he should be Harry. He's GREAT for the audiobooks, but he's a little too old for the start of the series. I liked Paul Blackthorne.)

House was great, but needs to wrap up. Terra Nova has been getting better all season, and the last two parter was really good.

No one has patience anymore. You guys are like the tv execs. "first episode was bad, write it off". Give it a chance, most Sci Fi shows don't hit their stride for a season or two.

I had to look up this new asian you guys were talking about on House. Charlyne Yi? Blech. She's awful and the only reason she's even able to get a job in show business was because Michael Cera thought it would be funny if the press saw him dating someone as awful as he is.

House would be okay if they started leaning more towards the 'side plots' they might be okay. But the 'solve the medical mystery at the last second" schtick is getting worn out.

Unless I've missed it in previous seasons, or just don't remember it, I want an episode where there's no major medical mystery, just clinic cases. THAT WAY, you could knock out the obligatory Stephen Fry and Rowan Atkinson cameos in one episode.

If there's another season of House, it needs to be of his downward spiral into madness ending with his suicide. It's the only thing that makes sense for the character.

As for Terra Nova, I'm actually a little interested in another season now that they're cut off from the future.

Yeah Terra Nova has been my guilty pleasure this season. Turn off my brain, eat some popcorn and watch dinosaurs eat people. Plus the whole dinosaur running lose in the future made me laugh to no end.

Yeah, that would be pretty great ending. House sucked last season (that Cuddy hallucination episode, so bad, so very bad) and sucks this season. I got pissed off at it at the end of last season and decided to give it a chance this season. I forced myself to watch 4 episodes and couldn't take any more of it. Did they get new writers? It's like they're trying to be so clever and different and smarter than they actually are.

Terra Nova started out pretty lame but got better towards the end of the season. The finale was really good. Still ridiculous, but good. I read that they're trying to get a few really acclaimed writers for the show for the next season. If they could keep it as good as the finale, I'd definitely become a big fan.

Also, I love everything about Fringe - subplots, over-arching themes, monsters of the weeks, everything.
