So two times a year you'd get the football equivalent of bumping into your ex girlfriend at a restaurant with her new squeeze, and at first you're thinking, "oh man we had some good times" and then you remember how nice those boobs are and how she'd pretty much let you do anything in the bedroom, but then you remember the last few months of her lying on the couch b*tching at you because you can't find your checkbook to pay for the pizza and how she was too spineless to stand up to her parents for you, so it's all "yeah f*ck that."

If he doesn't go there I wish the University of Tenn would give him the head coach job there.

Anything else we can talk to death concerning the Colts?

Anyone?

Well sure! Let's do this!

It's hard to speculate who will stay and who will go. Did we see Reggie's last game for the Horse at Lucas in the win over the Texans? It's hard to say, but how can Naptown survive without a Reggie on a billboard? Are there any Reggies available to draft? Clearly we will need a Reggie.

I'm all for trading the pick. Why draft Luck? Has anybody noticed he kind of looks like Harland Williams?

Jeff George is still available for work. Just ask Whitlock, he knows.

Clearly we can sort this entire mess out with some analysis of Irsay tweets.

Jeff Fisher -- the guy the Eagles should have picked as head coach to succeed Buddy Ryan over that running sore on the body of coaching, Richie "They Didn't Leave Anything In The Locker Room" Kotite.

So you want it to remain in the toilet? I really don't get all the Fisher love. Everyone seems to believe he won multiple superbowls with the way they talk about how great a coach he is.

I guess it went like this in Miami, (Whitelabled for convenience):

Coaching prospect: "So, ahh, what will you be doing with Ireland"?
Ross: "I'm keeping him."
Coaching prospect: "Thankyou for your time. You'll be hearing from my people."

I think Fisher could do better than the current guy.

I think the Fisher love in the NFL is a little strange too, but it is a result of a coaching talent drought of sorts. He does have experience, he missed winning the SB by a few feet, and has put together some winning seasons, so he's got that going for him.

Ugh, a few feet from tying the game; why is this such a common misconception?

/They love him for his crooked looking mustache.

No, he missed being tied (assuming the PAT) for the super bowl, and likely go to overtime.
Too bad that game was boring as hell for the first 45 minutes. I actually went sledding instead of watching it all.

hopefully not, i want that guy back in Houston. Maybe we'll get lucky and Kube will retire after this season and leave on a high note.

Yeah, people mention that potential tie as a winner a lot. I'm not particular on remembering Super Bowls, but this comes up a surprising amount.

I always wondered about the love for Fisher as a coach, but the other day somebody pointed out that he ran a pretty competitive team in a division that he had slim chances of winning most years. He has a decent eye for drafting, and couldn't do too much to change the structure of the team because he had to do what Bud told him. With an owner that actually doesn't mind spending to give the team a chance he could actually be a good fit.

Personally I say have Manning be player/coach. The lack of aggressiveness on offense (when inside the 40 with Peyton, you should NEVER kick on 4th down) since Dungy and Moore left is maddening.
