Huckabee is just jumping on the new Republican craze: pretend that the losers in the primary aren't the 'real' Republicans. It's just another rehash of the same bullshiat we heard all last year right before the Republicans sank America's credit rating because they can't get past Obama's skin color.

The Republicans know they're farked. Nobody in the primary could lead a wire through a wall, much less a country that their party politics has destroyed. Now they're going to see if they can place the blame on the Democrats despite everybody seeing exactly what is going on and how useless Republicans really are.

The answer after twenty years of politics is clear: if you want to have more money in your pocket and better paying jobs, vote Democratic. If you want to see gas prices jacked up four times beyond their normal price and your basic civil liberties vanish, keep voting Republican. The Republicans have no real purpose in American politics outside of keeping bigots happy and looting all the money for their rich backers.

ultraholland: tenpoundsofcheese: he never said Republican CANDIDATES. He said many Republicans.

that's actually worse

I would feel bad for Republicans if they weren't intent on dismantling the American government and reducing the lower and middle classes to abject wage slavery.

And Mike Huckabee is more interested in the all-you-can-eat-buffet at Golden Corral than he is in the Republican candidates. Everything is relative.

What's funny is my father-in-law in Arkansas is a hardcore 'conservative' with nothing but contempt for the federal government. He told me all about how it was filled with incompetent boobs while we were driving out of his very secluded, out of the way neighborhood via a very nice, well-paved road provided by none other than the federal government (which a big-ass sign mentioning the road was provided by the American Recovery and Re-investment whosiwhatsit was kind enough to inform us of)
But since he was taking me out to his kickass deer lease to crack off a few shots with his AR-15 I wasn't about to point out the disconnect. That shiat was seriously fun.
He's a really brilliant man, too. But once you get to talking about politics his brain just stops functioning. It's strange.

2012-01-03 06:24:58 PM
Pondering if he's pre-stirring the shiat so he can be the Great White Hope as we end up with a brokered Republican convention.

Nice troll though.

Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of derp on Fark. Based on this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

Politicians have to address the topic voters have been told to be mad about.Namely, Obama = Satan × Hilter × ∞. They can't very well run on a detailed plan for creating jobs, because that doesn't address how Obama can be unseated.

oh please, those have nothing to do with skin color. Replace his name/face with any other presidential candidate and those signs will still makes sense

I just don't see the outrage over William JEFFERSON Clinton, or see Hillary dressed up as a scary little white girl on someone's poster. At her worst, she was no Callista Gingrich.

Yeah, go with the "We need to return things to the Bush years." Good luck with that!

2012-01-03 06:42:06 PM
He's right... sadly. I haven't seen anything from any of the Republican candidates that has lead me to believe that they have the country's best interest at heart. In fact, quite the opposite. They seem ready to burn this country to the ground if they aren't in control of everything. And really at this point, even if the Republicans came out and started professing that they want to do good things for the country, I wouldn't believe a word of it. I would have to assume that whatever they are saying is simply a ploy to attempt to gain power so they can get back to their favorite thing in the world... abusing power.

Seriously... there is simply no way for the Republicans to improve their image with me. I'm not even a fan of Democrats... they kind of suck too... just a LOT less.

2012-01-03 06:47:13 PM

Nadie_AZ: Yeah, but in the end they win. Even if the place is a smoldering ruin of destruction, they win!

And that's all they care about.

It's awesome that they lost (and still are losing) their collective sh*t over a black man beating them. This shows that they are indeed the party of old, white, wealthy men.

I've gotta say that I think that's an oversimplification... I'm not saying there's not a virulent strain of racism, and even more significantly a desire to preserve white privilege, running through the GOP.

But I think that in reality, they lost their shiat over the fact that their party and their ideology destroyed this farking country and blew a great big hole in the side of the boat for the entire world economy.

At the end of George W. Bush's presidency, the complete and utter failure of everything they preach, and everything they had done when given the keys to the kingdom was laid bare for the entire world to see.

They shiat the farking bed, and EVERYONE knew it. The only way to survive was to go balls to the wall and make certain that "the other side" couldn't be seen doing anything positive, and couple it with an unrelenting propaganda campaign that tried to shift responsibility onto the other guy.

The fact that he was black just made it easier to pull off with a certain segment of the base... but they'd have done the same thing no matter who was in office. They simply could not let Democrats, under any circumstance, come in and start fixing the colossal disaster they had just made of this country and the global economy. They'd have been politically dead for a generation.

I don't see much difference between the way repubs are acting now and the way they acted before Obama was elected.

They have always had their own agenda ( pro rich and fark everything else ). They have been busy destroying america since January 21, 1981.

That doesn't make him brilliant. It makes him good with a CNC machine. If he (or anyone's dad, you know who you are) can't put together the federal government and what the federal government does while simultaneously making use of it, they're a farking dumb ass.

I know pilots and doctors that fit this mold. It doesn't make them smart, it makes them good at flying planes and fixing people.

Did you notice the near simulpost with the real deal? It was like some kind of bizarre satanic summoning ritual at play. Kind of frightening, actually. I screwed up though - too few question marks, I didn't put blank spaces between each line, and I used "democrap" instead of "dem-o-rat". Oh well...

So elections are now the sole driver of the DJI? Or are you just applying labels to match what you would like that chart to say?

It's a joke; I have had that image floating around for years as proof of the way you can manipulate numbers to your advantage. You know the stock market has grown over 80% since Obama took office, right? How do you think the maker of the chart explains that one?

Probably the same way that Michele Bachmann keeps referring to how low gas prices were when Obama took office, conveniently forgetting that until the economy crashed, they were over $4 a gallon. It's all mental gymnastics, instead of making your viewpoint fit the data, making the data fit your viewpoint.

Making it more jesus and less gay. Also more jesus.

what if Jesus was gay? I mean...he hung out with a bunch of guys and didn't date women. think about it...

What if Jesus was Irish? He worked in the building trades, he was always telling stories, and his last request was a drink.

What if Jesus was Italian? He lived at home until the age of 33, he had wine at every meal, and his mother thought he was God.

What if Jesus was Black? He couldn't hold a steady job, he was always in trouble with the law, and he called everybody "brother."

The Larch: Githerax: What does "rebuilding America" mean, exactly?

Do you remember how great the country was back in 1955, when your knees didn't ache and people drove slower and bread cost a nickel and those damned kids weren't on your lawn and a phones were simple to use?

Well, it's going to be just like that again.

And those lucky black people didn't have to wait in line at the white water fountain.

They are more interested in dismantling the safety net than in defeating Obama. Obama is just the biggest obstacle for this purpose, so it appears that they are after him personally.

And, more to the original point, we tend to make out everything during the "other team's" presidency as terrible as possible and we put on the rose-colored glasses for life during "our team's" presidency. Life wasn't all terrible under Bush.

Gas prices were $1.85 in 2009? Where the heck was that?

And I love how the chart doesn't point out how things like the federal debt have been skyrocketing since Reagan, reversed course at Clinton, then skyrocketed under Bush.

Great job being part of the problem instead of part of the solution!

True, and people also can't put the president to blame for everything either. Much of it is congress, some of it is international, and even quite a bit of it is just random shiat that happens.
