I'm disappointed with the changes I've seen in Americans over my lifetime, but I don't hate America. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I've lived in Germany, and even there, an American is shocked by simple everyday intrusions into what we would consider privacy. Some things I really liked about Germany, but I wouldn't want to live there long-term again.

And reading stories and threads about the complete lack of sanitation in places like India -- Jesus. Some of the things I've seen in pictures from there would only occur here during a major catastrophe. No, I think we've still got it best here in America, but we Americans need to shape up in a lot of ways, or we're going to lose what we have.

Gingrich's hatred of our country has been well established. Plus he's courting teabaggers, and short of al qaeda, I can't think of a group that puts out more anti-American propaganda or has such a visceral hatred towards us.

It kind of funny to watch those that claim to love America try to justify those feelings.

You certainly can't do it by citing the complete history of the country. The logic that the America lovers rely upon falls apart when it's examined but then a lot of those ass kissers usually avoid getting into details.

Matter of fact if you look at right wing media you can see that it's set up specifically to keep the details hidden through the use of censorship, shouting and dump buttons.

I can easily see calling it a nightmare. At any time he could have switched from cars to houses. And for most people their car is their transportation to work. I imagine if I lived in that area I would have had some sleepless nights worrying that some nutjob would burn my car or house.

American isn't perfect. Never was, never will be. Nothing will ever be perfect, that's life. It's the fact that we strive to better ourselves and our country that makes us great. We have work to do, no doubt. But we are in far batter shape than every other country.

It's funny watching all the America haters try to justify their feelings that America isn't the greatest country while refusing to leave for whatever country they claim is the greatest.

What are you talking about? I'm an American living in Germany, and what you said is entirely wrong. Maybe things were different when you lived here, but Germany and Germans are infinitely more respectful of privacy.

America is a very dangerous place--definitely not one to be lived in right now-- and I'm afraid it's too late to change it from within.
